The Dorados de Chihuahua delivered one of their most complete performances of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional season, dismantling the Freseros 105-77 in a lopsided road victory on October 8, 2026. A 28-point margin tells the story of a game that was decided long before the final buzzer, with Chihuahua controlling the tempo from the opening quarter and never allowing the hosts to build any sustained momentum.

Match Overview

Playing away from home in front of a lively Freseros crowd, the Dorados came out with clear intent. Chihuahua's offense clicked early, moving the ball with purpose and generating high-percentage looks both inside the paint and from the perimeter. By halftime the visitors had already established a double-digit cushion, and any hope of a Freseros comeback was effectively extinguished during a dominant third quarter that saw the lead balloon past twenty points.

The final scoreline of 105-77 reflects a team firing on all cylinders offensively while simultaneously locking down the defensive end. Reaching the century mark on the road is a statement in the LNBP, and the Dorados did it with room to spare, resting key players through much of the fourth quarter.

Key Moments

• First quarter: Chihuahua set the tone with an efficient opening stretch, taking an early lead and forcing Freseros into contested shots.
• Second quarter: The visitors extended their advantage, punishing Freseros turnovers with transition baskets and building a comfortable halftime lead.
• Third quarter: The decisive stretch of the game, as the Dorados outscored the home side by a wide margin to turn a competitive contest into a rout.
• Fourth quarter: With the result settled, Chihuahua rotated its bench and closed out the win with disciplined, mistake-free basketball.

Tactical Story

The difference in this matchup came at both ends of the floor. Offensively, the Dorados de Chihuahua spread the Freseros defense thin, attacking the rim when lanes opened and kicking out for open three-point attempts when the defense collapsed. That balance made them extremely difficult to guard, and the 105-point output reflects how consistently they found good shots.

Defensively, Chihuahua's pressure disrupted Freseros' half-court rhythm. The home side struggled to establish any post presence and was repeatedly forced into late-clock situations, resulting in low-percentage attempts and turnovers that fueled the Dorados' fast break. Freseros finished with just 77 points, well below the kind of output needed to stay with an opponent scoring at Chihuahua's pace.

Standout Performers

Chihuahua's scoring was spread across the roster, a hallmark of a well-coached offense that does not depend on a single star to carry the load. The backcourt dictated tempo and made smart decisions in pick-and-roll situations, while the frontcourt controlled the boards and converted second-chance opportunities. On the Freseros side, individual efforts were not enough to overcome the collective deficit, though the home team continued to compete until the final minutes.

Season Impact

This result matters in the LNBP standings. A road win of this magnitude strengthens the Dorados de Chihuahua's position as a serious contender and adds valuable tiebreaker leverage as the season progresses. For the Freseros, the defeat is a difficult one to absorb on home soil and raises questions about defensive consistency that the coaching staff will need to address quickly.

What's Next

Both clubs return to the grind of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional schedule. Chihuahua will look to carry this momentum into their next fixture and keep pace at the top of the table, while Freseros will aim to regroup, tighten their defense, and get back in the win column in front of their home supporters.
