Key Moments

The game turned in the second quarter when Soles unleashed an 18-2 run over a five-minute stretch. Guard Jordan Glynn sparked the surge with back-to-back three-pointers, and forward Lagerald Vick added a pair of steals that led to easy fast-break points. Dorados had no answer, committing seven turnovers during that span and missing six consecutive shots. By halftime, Soles led 53-33, and the rout was on.

Dorados briefly showed life early in the third quarter with a 7-0 spurt, but Soles responded with a 10-2 run of their own, capped by a thunderous dunk from center Eric Dawson. The fourth quarter was academic, as Soles emptied their bench and maintained a comfortable cushion.

Tactical Story

Soles de Mexicali's full-court pressure was the story of the night. They disrupted Dorados' half-court sets, generating 18 turnovers and converting them into 26 points. On offense, Soles shot a blistering 52% from the field and 42% from beyond the arc, while also dominating the glass with a 44-30 rebounding advantage. Their 24 assists on 35 made field goals highlighted exceptional ball movement.

Dorados, meanwhile, struggled to find any rhythm. They shot just 36% from the floor, including a dismal 6-of-28 from three-point range. Their leading scorer, Kyle Lamonte, managed 15 points but needed 16 shots to get there. The lack of a secondary scoring threat allowed Soles to key in on Lamonte and force other players to beat them—something they could not do.

Both games will be crucial as the LNBP season enters its critical stretch. For Dorados, the focus will be on reducing turnovers and finding consistent scoring options beyond Lamonte.
