Tactical story

Voluntari’s half-court execution was the deciding factor. Their pick-and-roll offense created mismatches, and the guards made smart decisions when the defense collapsed.

Targu Mures played with energy and fought until the end. The home side attacked the offensive glass aggressively and got to the free-throw line, but missed opportunities at the rim and a few costly turnovers prevented them from completing the comeback. Defensively, Targu Mures struggled to contain Voluntari’s dribble penetration in the final minutes.

Standout performers

Voluntari’s backcourt controlled the pace and made clutch plays in the fourth quarter. The frontcourt contributed important rebounds and interior scoring, while the bench provided steady minutes. For Targu Mures, the scoring was balanced, but the team needed one more defensive stop in the final two minutes.

For Targu Mures, it is a frustrating loss, but the competitive performance shows the team can battle with strong opponents. Both clubs will look to build on this game as the season progresses.
