Tactical Story

Steaua Bucuresti’s offense was at its best when the ball moved side to side and the guards found gaps in the defense. The visitors shot well enough to stay in the game, but they were hurt by a few empty possessions in the closing minutes. In a matchup this close, those small lapses were the difference.

Standout Performers

Targu Mures’ guards controlled the tempo and made key decisions down the stretch. The frontcourt also delivered important minutes, particularly on the boards and in defensive rotations. The home side’s balance made it difficult for Steaua to key in on one scorer.

BC Steaua Bucuresti received strong contributions from its perimeter players, who kept the offense afloat with timely shooting and penetration. The visitors showed plenty of fight, but Targu Mures’ late-game poise ultimately decided the contest.

Season Impact

The visitors will focus on late-game execution and rebounding as they move forward. Targu Mures, meanwhile, will take confidence from winning a close game that required composure on both ends.
