Dinamo adjusted defensively after the break and used a 12-3 run to climb back into the game, but Sibiu's outside shooting and free-throw accuracy kept them in front. The hosts sealed the win with a late 9-2 spurt.

Tactical story

Sibiu's ball movement was excellent, with the team repeatedly finding open shooters against Dinamo's rotating defense. The hosts also dominated points in the paint, forcing Dinamo to collapse and then kicking out for threes. Dinamo's best stretches came when they sped the game up and attacked before Sibiu's defense could set, but they could not sustain that pace for 40 minutes.

Standout players

Sibiu's backcourt led the way, combining for 43 points and 12 assists. Their center added a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds, anchoring the interior on both ends. Dinamo's top scorer finished with 24 points, while their power forward contributed 18 points and 8 rebounds in a losing effort.

Standings and season impact

With the win, CSU Atlassib Sibiu strengthens their place in the Liga Nationala de Baschet Masculin standings and sends a message that they can score with any team in the league. Dinamo Bucuresti will need to improve their transition defense and rebounding to avoid falling further behind in the playoff race. The result also gives Sibiu an important head-to-head advantage in any future tiebreaker scenarios.

What's next

Sibiu will aim to keep their offense rolling in the next round, while Dinamo returns home looking to correct the defensive lapses that allowed a 100-point night. The loss is a setback, but with plenty of season remaining, Dinamo still has time to climb the table.
