Levallois claimed a hard-fought 79-77 road win at UJAP Quimper in the Ligue Nationale de Basket Pro B, closing out a tense fourth quarter to take a victory that was built on defence and composed shot-making down the stretch. The visitors trailed entering the final period but finished the game with the better execution on both ends of the floor.

Match Overview

It was a game of small margins and long, grinding possessions, exactly the kind of contest the Pro B schedule produces in bunches. Quimper fed off their home crowd early and looked the more fluent side for much of the first half, but Levallois stayed within touching distance and then took control when it mattered.

• First quarter: UJAP Quimper 20–18 Levallois
• Second quarter: UJAP Quimper 17–22 Levallois (half-time: 37–40)
• Third quarter: UJAP Quimper 19–20 Levallois (three-quarter time: 56–60)
• Fourth quarter: UJAP Quimper 21–19 Levallois
• Final score: UJAP Quimper 77–79 Levallois

How the Game Turned

Quimper started brightly, pushing the ball up the floor and getting early production from their wings to build a small first-quarter lead. Levallois responded with a more physical defensive approach in the second, forcing contested mid-range attempts and grabbing the defensive boards that allowed them to get out and run.

The third quarter was the turning point. Levallois opened the second half with a controlled 8–2 run, moved the ball into the paint and began to draw fouls consistently. Quimper answered with a late surge in the fourth, cutting the deficit to a single possession in the final minute, but a missed three at the death left them just short.

Tactical Story

Levallois's game plan was clear: slow the tempo, defend the three-point line and make Quimper work for everything inside. The visitors mixed man-to-man and a compact zone, forcing the home side into late-clock situations and a lower-than-usual assist count. Offensively, Levallois relied on their guards attacking downhill and their big men crashing the offensive glass.

Quimper's best moments came when they broke the game open in transition. Their inside-out spacing created open corner looks, and their bench provided real energy in the second and fourth quarters. The difference, however, came at the free-throw line and in crunch-time shot selection — the visitors took higher-percentage shots in the last four minutes, while Quimper were forced into difficult perimeter attempts.

Standout Performers

• Levallois: Their lead guard was the game's most influential player, scoring in the high teens and adding several key assists, including the pass that set up the decisive basket. The centre was a force in the paint with double-digit rebounds and important minutes on the defensive end.
• UJAP Quimper: The home side's best contributor came off the wing, scoring efficiently from beyond the arc and keeping his team alive late. Their power forward put together a solid all-round line with points, rebounds and a pair of blocks.

What It Means for Both Teams

Road wins in Pro B are precious, and Levallois leave Brittany with momentum as well as two points. For Quimper, it is a frustrating evening — they competed for 40 minutes, controlled long stretches and still came away empty-handed. In a league where the playoff race is usually decided by a handful of results, that one-point margin could prove meaningful when the standings are reviewed later in the season.

Looking Ahead

Quimper will look to respond quickly, tightening their late-game execution and getting back to the transition game that works so well for them at home. Levallois, meanwhile, will want to build on a defensively disciplined performance that showed exactly how they intend to win games away from their own arena.
