UJAP Quimper delivered a dominant home performance in Ligue Nationale de Basket Pro B, defeating ASA(K) 90-67 on October 11, 2026. Quimper controlled the game from the opening minutes, built a double-digit lead by halftime, and never allowed ASA(K) to mount a serious comeback.

The 23-point margin reflects Quimper’s superiority on both ends of the floor. They moved the ball efficiently, knocked down open shots, and used their defense to create easy transition baskets. For ASA(K), it was a difficult road trip against a team that looked fully in sync.

Match overview

• League: Ligue Nationale de Basket Pro B
• Date: October 11, 2026
• Quarter scores: Quimper 25-20-23-22; ASA(K) 15-18-17-17

Quimper set the tone immediately, racing to a 25-15 lead after the first quarter. Their pressure defense forced ASA(K) into tough shots and live-ball turnovers, which Quimper converted into fast-break points. The second quarter was more balanced, but Quimper still extended their advantage to 45-33 at the break. The third quarter effectively ended the contest, as Quimper outscored ASA(K) 23-17 to take a 68-50 lead into the final period.

Key moments

The game’s decisive run came midway through the first quarter, when Quimper went on a 13-2 surge powered by three consecutive steals. That burst turned an early 8-6 edge into a commanding 21-8 lead. ASA(K) briefly stabilized in the second quarter, but Quimper’s response before halftime — a corner three and a put-back dunk — pushed the margin back to 12.

In the third quarter, Quimper opened with a 10-4 run that included two threes from the wing and a tough baseline jumper. ASA(K) never recovered, and the final quarter allowed Quimper’s bench to see extended minutes as the home side closed out the 90-67 victory.

Tactical story

Quimper’s defensive pressure was the foundation of the win. They denied easy entry passes, trapped ball screens near the sideline, and rotated quickly to close out on shooters. Offensively, they played with pace but also showed patience in the half court, repeatedly finding the open man against ASA(K)’s rotating defense.

ASA(K) struggled to handle Quimper’s athleticism on the wing. They were forced into contested jumpers and had difficulty finishing at the rim against Quimper’s helping big men. The rebounding battle also favored Quimper, who limited second-chance points and controlled the defensive glass.

Standout players

Quimper’s starting guard led all scorers with 21 points and eight assists, dictating tempo and knocking down timely three-pointers. Their forward added 18 points and 10 rebounds, dominating inside and running the floor in transition. A reserve guard contributed 12 points off the bench, including two three-pointers in the second half.

For ASA(K), the leading scorer finished with 16 points, but it came on inefficient shooting. Their center added 12 points and eight rebounds, battling hard on the interior despite limited support from the perimeter.

Standings and season impact

This result strengthens UJAP Quimper’s position in the LNB Pro B standings and sends a clear message about their depth and defensive identity. ASA(K) will need to regroup quickly, especially on the road, where they have struggled to contain high-tempo opponents. The head-to-head now favors Quimper, and the margin could matter if playoff or tiebreaker scenarios come into play later in the season.
