Nantes secured a 99-90 home victory over ASA(K) in Ligue Nationale de Basket Pro B on October 24, 2026, using a balanced offensive performance and a strong third quarter to create enough separation for the win. ASA(K) remained competitive into the final minutes, but Nantes made the bigger plays down the stretch.

Match overview

Nantes started with purpose and built a seven-point halftime lead. The hosts then produced their best stretch in the third quarter, extending the advantage before holding off a late ASA(K) push.

• First quarter: Nantes 24-22
• Second quarter: Nantes 25-20
• Third quarter: Nantes 26-23
• Fourth quarter: ASA(K) 25-24

Nantes led 49-42 at halftime and 75-65 after three quarters. ASA(K) refused to fade and cut the deficit in the fourth, but Nantes answered with key baskets and free throws to keep the visitors from completing the comeback.

Key moments

The decisive run came early in the third quarter when Nantes opened with a 12-2 burst, turning a manageable lead into a comfortable cushion. ASA(K) responded with a run of its own in the fourth quarter, trimming the gap to single digits and forcing Nantes to execute in the half-court. The hosts delivered, scoring on several late possessions and converting at the line to close the game.

Tactical story

Nantes’ offense was built on ball movement and aggressive drives, which created open looks from beyond the arc and second-chance points. The hosts shared the ball well and punished ASA(K)’s help defense with quick passes. ASA(K) stayed in the game by shooting well from three-point range and attacking the offensive glass, but Nantes’ defensive adjustments in the final five minutes limited clean looks.

Standout performers

Nantes’ guards controlled the game and made several crucial shots in the fourth quarter, while the frontcourt provided steady scoring and rebounding. The bench also contributed important minutes, helping Nantes maintain energy on both ends. ASA(K)’s leading scorer kept the visitors alive with a strong second-half performance, but the team could not string together enough stops when it mattered most.

Season impact

The home win gives Nantes a valuable result in the LNB Pro B table and reinforces their ability to close out games. ASA(K) will take some encouragement from the fightback but will need to improve defensively after allowing 99 points. In a tightly contested league, protecting home court is essential, and Nantes did exactly that.
