Denain Voltaire Take 103-95 Road Win at Le Havre in Pro B

Denain Voltaire secured an impressive 103-95 road victory over Le Havre in Ligue Nationale de Basket Pro B action on October 25, 2026, using a dominant fourth-quarter run to turn a tight contest into a valuable away win. The result boosts Denain’s position in the Pro B standings and leaves Le Havre frustrated after the hosts had stayed within reach for most of the night.

Match Overview

Le Havre started strongly, taking a 24-22 lead after the first quarter behind efficient inside scoring and aggressive offensive rebounding. Denain responded in the second period, using pressure defense and quick ball movement to edge ahead 48-46 at halftime. The third quarter remained closely contested, with both teams trading baskets and neither side able to build a significant cushion. Denain held a 73-71 lead entering the final period.

The fourth quarter proved decisive. Denain opened with a 10-0 run, forcing Le Havre into turnovers and rushed shots. The visitors outscored Le Havre 32-22 in the final period, converting steals into transition points and knocking down key three-pointers. Le Havre tried to respond with foul shots and post scoring, but Denain’s execution in the closing minutes sealed the win.

Key Moments

• Denain’s 10-0 run to start the fourth quarter turned a two-point lead into a 12-point cushion.
• Amadou Diallo’s three-pointer with just over four minutes remaining pushed the lead to 91-82.
• A Le Havre turnover and missed layup in the final two minutes ended any realistic comeback chance.

Tactical Story

Denain won the game with aggressive perimeter defense and transition offense. The visitors pressured Le Havre’s ball handlers, forced turnovers, and turned those mistakes into easy points. Denain’s bench also played a crucial role, providing energy and scoring while the starters rested. The team finished with a clear advantage in fast-break points and second-chance scoring.

Le Havre was effective inside for much of the game, using its size to score around the rim and draw fouls. However, the hosts struggled with Denain’s pressure in the fourth quarter and went cold from the perimeter at the worst possible time. Le Havre’s half-court offense became predictable late, and Denain’s rotations disrupted its rhythm.

Standout Players

Denain guard Amadou Diallo led all scorers with 26 points, seven assists, and four rebounds. Theo Martin added 21 points, including three three-pointers, while center Ibrahim Cisse contributed 14 points and nine rebounds. Denain’s backcourt controlled the pace and made key plays down the stretch.

For Le Havre, Julien Petit scored 23 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, while Lucas Bernard added 18 points. The hosts received solid individual performances, but their late turnovers and defensive breakdowns allowed Denain to pull away.

Standings and Season Impact

The victory lifts Denain Voltaire in the Pro B standings and provides a strong confidence boost on the road. Le Havre remains competitive but will need to address its fourth-quarter execution and ball security. With the Pro B promotion race expected to be tightly contested, road wins like this one can prove especially valuable later in the season.
