Entente Orléanaise Dominate Rouen 91-74 in Pro B Showcase

Entente Orléanaise delivered a statement performance in the Ligue Nationale de Basket Pro B, rolling past Rouen 91-74 in a game they controlled almost from the opening tip. The 17-point win was built on a balanced, high-tempo offensive display that at times overwhelmed the visiting defense.

Match Overview

Pro B is a league where scoring runs decide games, and Orléanaise produced the biggest ones. They pushed the pace early, attacked in transition and punished Rouen's defensive rotations with quick ball movement. By the time the visitors adjusted, the game had already slipped away.

Rouen had spells of genuine quality — particularly when they slowed the tempo and worked the ball into the post — but they never sustained it. Every time they threatened to cut the deficit, Orléanaise answered with a run of their own, and that pattern repeated across all four quarters.

Key Moments

• Opening burst: Orléanaise started fast, building an early lead with transition baskets and open three-point looks.
• Second-quarter cushion: A scoring surge stretched the advantage into double figures before half-time.
• Third-quarter response: Rouen's best run of the night trimmed the gap, but Orléanaise immediately answered with a decisive counter-run.
• Fourth-quarter close: The hosts emptied the bench while still extending the margin, underlining their control of proceedings.

Tactical Story

The offensive execution was the headline. Orléanaise shared the ball well, generated open looks from the perimeter and got to the rim off dribble penetration. Their spacing stretched Rouen's defense horizontally, creating second-chance opportunities on the offensive glass whenever the first shot missed.

Defensively, they were aggressive in the passing lanes and forced Rouen into hurried decisions late in possessions. Rouen's half-court offense was at its best when it played through the interior and generated kick-out threes, but those possessions were too infrequent to turn the game into a genuine contest.

What It Means for the Season

In Pro B, where promotion races are often decided by narrow margins and points differential, a 17-point home win is significant. Orléanaise will take confidence from both the result and the manner of it, particularly the depth contributions that allowed them to maintain intensity through the full forty minutes.

Rouen leave with plenty to review: defensive transition, rebounding discipline and half-court shot quality will all be on the video session. Their response in the next fixture will say a lot about their playoff credentials this season.
