ASA(K) vs Antibes: ASA(K) claim 85-74 Pro B victory

ASA(K) delivered a strong home performance in the Ligue Nationale de Basket Pro B, defeating Antibes 85-74 on October 3, 2026. The hosts controlled the game from the second quarter onward, combining efficient outside shooting with a physical interior presence to secure a valuable league win.

The result moves ASA(K) in the right direction in the Pro B standings, while Antibes are left to reflect on a road performance that had bright moments but lacked consistency on the defensive end. The 11-point final margin reflected ASA(K)’s ability to execute in key moments and capitalize on Antibes’ turnovers.

Match Overview

ASA(K) opened the game with good energy and led 22-17 after the first quarter. Antibes fought back in the second period, but the hosts maintained a slender advantage and took a 42-36 lead into halftime. The third quarter proved decisive: ASA(K) outscored Antibes 23-16 to build a comfortable double-digit cushion. Although Antibes won the fourth quarter 22-20, the damage had already been done.

The quarter scores were 22-17, 20-19, 23-16, and 20-22. ASA(K) shot the ball well from beyond the arc and repeatedly attacked the rim, drawing fouls and creating second-chance opportunities. Antibes had stretches of strong play, especially in transition, but could not string together enough stops to mount a serious late comeback.

Key Moments

• First-half control: ASA(K) used a balanced scoring attack to take a six-point lead into the break.
• Third-quarter explosion: A 12-3 run early in the second half gave ASA(K) a double-digit lead that Antibes never fully erased.
• Antibes’ late push: The visitors cut the deficit to seven points in the fourth quarter, but ASA(K) responded with back-to-back baskets.
• Closing free throws: ASA(K) iced the game at the free-throw line in the final minute.

Standout Players

ASA(K)’s leading scorer finished with 21 points, including four three-pointers, while their starting center added 16 points and 11 rebounds. The team’s point guard controlled the tempo with 12 points and eight assists, helping ASA(K) finish with a strong assist-to-turnover ratio. The bench also contributed meaningful minutes, particularly on the defensive end.

For Antibes, the top scorer recorded 18 points, and their power forward added 14 points and nine rebounds. Antibes’ guards created some good looks in transition, but the team struggled with turnovers in the third quarter and allowed ASA(K) too many second-chance points. Free-throw shooting also proved costly, as Antibes left several points at the line.

Pro B Standings Impact

This victory is important for ASA(K)’s positioning in the Ligue Nationale de Basket Pro B table. Home wins are crucial in the race for playoff spots and promotion contention. Antibes, meanwhile, will need to improve their road defense if they are to climb the standings in the coming weeks.

What’s Next

ASA(K) will aim to carry this momentum into their next Pro B fixture, while Antibes return home looking to correct their third-quarter issues. The head-to-head result could matter later in the season if both teams are competing for similar positions in the table.
