Ensino Lugo Women protected their home court with a composed 76-63 victory over Lacturale Araski Women in the Liga Femenina de Baloncesto on October 11, 2026. A strong first quarter and a disciplined defensive effort allowed the hosts to control the contest from start to finish, even as Araski threatened briefly in the second half.

Match overview

Ensino Lugo opened with purpose, moving the ball sharply and attacking the paint before Araski’s defense could settle. The hosts built an early cushion and maintained a double-digit advantage for most of the evening. Araski competed well in spells, particularly through their half-court offense, but they struggled to string together enough stops to truly change the momentum.

The third quarter proved important as well, with Ensino Lugo stretching the lead to 58-45 before both teams traded baskets in the final period.

Key moments

Ensino Lugo’s best stretch came late in the first half, when they combined back-to-back three-pointers with a pair of transition layups. That run pushed the lead to 15 and gave the home crowd plenty to cheer about. Araski responded with a more aggressive third-quarter approach, attacking the rim and drawing fouls, but Ensino Lugo consistently answered with timely baskets. A clutch three-pointer early in the fourth quarter effectively ended Araski’s comeback hopes.

Standout performers and tactics

Ensino Lugo’s balance was the story. Their guards controlled pace, their wings shot well from the perimeter, and their interior players battled on the offensive glass. Defensively, the hosts did an excellent job of shrinking the floor and forcing Araski into contested jumpers. Araski showed resilience and had solid moments in the paint, but they were undone by uneven shooting and a rebounding deficit that gave Ensino Lugo extra possessions.

Season impact

This 76-63 home win is a valuable result for Ensino Lugo Women as they look to build momentum in the Liga Femenina de Baloncesto standings. It reinforces their strength at home and gives them confidence ahead of a demanding stretch. Lacturale Araski Women will take lessons from their second-half effort but will need more consistent offense to climb the table.
