San Pablo Burgos left the court with a deserved 94-81 road win over Forca Lleida in a Liga Asociación de Clubs de Baloncesto fixture that was decided by a decisive second-half surge. The visitors' balanced scoring and superior three-point shooting proved the difference in a game that was competitive through the opening twenty minutes before Burgos pulled clear.

Match Overview

Forca Lleida started brightly in front of their home support, matching Burgos basket for basket and attacking the rim with purpose. The hosts' energy kept the game tight early, but Burgos gradually imposed their half-court structure and began converting the kind of high-percentage looks that Lleida were forced to work much harder for.

• Final score: Forca Lleida 81, San Pablo Burgos 94
• Competition: Liga Asociación de Clubs de Baloncesto
• Winning margin: 13 points
• Key factor: Burgos' perimeter shooting and rebounding control

Key Moments

The turning point arrived midway through the third quarter. With Lleida within touching distance, Burgos strung together a run built on defensive stops and quick outlet passes, stretching the lead into double figures in a matter of minutes. Lleida called timeout to regroup, but the momentum had shifted irreversibly.

Every time the home side threatened a comeback in the fourth, Burgos answered with a timely basket — often from beyond the arc — to snuff out the rally. That composure in clutch moments is exactly what separates contenders from the pack in a demanding Spanish league.

Tactical Story

Burgos' offense operated with impressive spacing, forcing Lleida's defense to cover ground and creating mismatches on the switch. Their ball movement generated open looks from the perimeter, and their efficiency from deep kept the scoreboard ticking over even when the hosts defended well in the paint.

Lleida, by contrast, leaned heavily on individual creation. Their dribble penetration produced free throws and second-chance points, but the absence of consistent outside shooting meant Burgos could pack the lane and dare them to shoot over the top — a gamble that paid off handsomely.

Standout Players

Burgos' guard play stood out, with their primary ball-handlers controlling tempo, limiting turnovers and finding shooters in rhythm. Their big men did the dirty work on the glass, winning the rebounding battle and denying Lleida the extra possessions that might have kept the game close. For Lleida, the effort was there — particularly on the offensive boards — but efficiency was the missing ingredient.

Season Impact and What's Next

Road victories of this nature are worth their weight in gold over the course of a long campaign, and San Pablo Burgos will view this as a benchmark performance in their push up the Liga Asociación de Clubs de Baloncesto standings. Forca Lleida, meanwhile, will study the film closely: the rebounding numbers and shooting splits will show clearly where the game slipped away. A response in their next fixture would steady the ship quickly.
