Bizkaia Bilbao Basket produced a composed home performance to defeat MoraBanc Andorra 88-76 in Liga ACB action on 25 October 2026, using a decisive third-quarter run and a strong finish to protect their advantage at Bilbao Arena.

The Liga Asociación de Clubs de Baloncesto clash was competitive through the opening half, with Andorra refusing to let Bilbao pull away early. Bilbao’s control in the paint and their ability to turn defensive stops into quick points eventually made the difference, especially after halftime.

Match overview

Bilbao opened with a 22-18 first-quarter lead and maintained a narrow edge at the break, 43-39. The home side’s rhythm improved after the interval, and a 24-18 third quarter pushed the margin to 67-57. Andorra made one final push in the fourth, but Bilbao answered with the steadier execution down the stretch to close out an 88-76 victory.

The result gives Bilbao Basket an important home win in the Liga ACB standings and reinforces their ability to control games when the tempo slows in the second half. For MoraBanc Andorra, the defeat leaves them searching for more consistency on the road, particularly on the defensive glass.

Key moments

The defining stretch came midway through the third quarter, when Bilbao strung together a 10-2 run to turn a tight game into a double-digit cushion. Andorra briefly threatened in the fourth, cutting the deficit to five, but Bilbao responded with a 9-0 burst that effectively settled the contest.

• Bilbao’s third-quarter run created the first real separation of the night.
• Andorra’s fourth-quarter rally was halted by a quick Bilbao scoring burst.
• The hosts controlled the final five minutes with disciplined half-court offense.

Tactical story

Bilbao’s game plan centered on paint touches and second-chance opportunities, and it paid off. The home side attacked the offensive boards with purpose and forced Andorra into contested perimeter shots. Defensively, Bilbao did a solid job of shrinking driving lanes and making Andorra work deep into the shot clock.

Andorra stayed in the game early by moving the ball and finding open looks from beyond the arc, but their shooting cooled after halftime. When the visitors tried to speed the game up, Bilbao managed the pace well and avoided the kind of turnover-heavy stretches that could have invited a comeback.

Standout performers

Bilbao’s backcourt controlled the tempo and delivered timely baskets in the second half, while the frontcourt anchored the defensive effort with rebounds and interior resistance. Andorra’s guards competed throughout, but the visitors lacked the same balance between inside and outside scoring.

Table and season impact

The win adds valuable momentum to Bilbao Basket’s Liga ACB campaign and strengthens their position ahead of a demanding stretch of fixtures. MoraBanc Andorra will take encouragement from their first-half competitiveness, but the road loss highlights the need for more consistent rebounding and late-game execution.
