Tactical story

Antranik Beirut’s offense was built on penetration and kick-outs. The guards attacked the paint, forced help defenders to commit, and found open shooters or cutters. When Homenetmen adjusted, Antranik went inside and scored through contact. That two-level attack kept the hosts in control. Defensively, Antranik switched effectively and contested Homenetmen’s perimeter looks, making the visitors work for every basket.

Homenetmen had stretches of strong play, particularly when it pushed the tempo and attacked before Antranik’s defense could set. But the visitors struggled to sustain offense when the game slowed. Missed free throws and turnovers in the third quarter allowed Antranik to turn a competitive game into a comfortable win.

Standout performers

Antranik Beirut received balanced scoring from its backcourt and frontcourt, with timely contributions from the bench. The hosts’ defensive leaders set the tone by communicating and controlling the glass. Homenetmen’s top scorers kept the team competitive early, but the visitors lacked the depth to match Antranik’s second-half intensity.

Standings impact

The 89-72 win gives Antranik Beirut a strong result in the Lebanon Federation Libanaise De Basketball standings and reinforces its home-court advantage. For Homenetmen, the loss is a reminder that defensive consistency and ball security will be essential in the next fixtures. Antranik will look to build on the performance, while Homenetmen will focus on correcting the third-quarter slide.
