Chabeb Batroun Take 88-78 Road Win Over Antonine in Lebanese League

Chabeb Batroun produced a composed fourth-quarter finish to beat Antonine 88-78 on the road in the Lebanon Federation Libanaise de Basketball on October 28, 2026. The visitors led for much of the night, survived a third-quarter push from Antonine, and pulled away late for a 10-point victory.

The result gave Chabeb Batroun an important road success in the Lebanese top flight, while Antonine were left to rue a final period in which their scoring rhythm deserted them at the worst possible moment.

How the game unfolded

• First quarter: Antonine 20-24 Chabeb Batroun
• Second quarter: Antonine 19-22 Chabeb Batroun
• Third quarter: Antonine 21-18 Chabeb Batroun
• Fourth quarter: Antonine 18-24 Chabeb Batroun
• Final score: Antonine 78-88 Chabeb Batroun

Chabeb Batroun set the tone early with a patient half-court attack and a willingness to attack the offensive glass. They led 24-20 after the opening quarter and stretched the advantage to 46-39 by halftime, with Antonine struggling to string together stops against the visitors’ balanced scoring.

Antonine responded after the break. A stronger defensive effort and more aggressive drives to the rim helped the home side win the third quarter 21-18 and trim the deficit to 64-60 entering the final period. The momentum briefly belonged to Antonine, but Chabeb Batroun had the answer.

Key moments and tactical edge

The decisive passage came early in the fourth quarter. With Antonine threatening to complete the comeback, Chabeb Batroun opened the period with an 11-3 run, capped by back-to-back perimeter baskets that pushed the lead back into double digits. Antonine never recovered fully, and Chabeb Batroun controlled the tempo from that point.

Chabeb Batroun’s defensive discipline was a major factor. They forced Antonine into contested jump shots and limited second-chance opportunities during the closing stretch. On offense, the visitors moved the ball well enough to find open shooters and mismatches inside, finishing with a more efficient shooting night than their hosts.

Standout performers

Jad Mansour led Chabeb Batroun with 23 points, repeatedly finding seams in Antonine’s defense. Karim Haddad added 18 points and nine rebounds, giving the visitors a strong inside-outside presence, while Elie Rizk chipped in 14 points and several important plays in the fourth quarter.

For Antonine, Elie Aoun scored 21 points and Joseph Abi Khalil added 16, but the home side lacked the same balance down the stretch. Tony Sarkis contributed 11 points in a losing effort.

What the result means

Chabeb Batroun’s victory strengthens their position in the Lebanese league and gives them a valuable road result to build on. Antonine, meanwhile, will focus on their late-game execution and rebounding after letting a competitive game slip away in the final ten minutes.
