Key moments

The decisive stretch came late in the second quarter. With Menorca threatening to stay within five, Fuenlabrada produced a quick burst of scoring built on offensive rebounds and transition baskets. The run pushed the lead to 13 and forced Menorca into a timeout. Menorca responded early in the third quarter with a 9-2 run of their own, but Fuenlabrada immediately answered with back-to-back three-pointers. That exchange effectively ended Menorca’s momentum.

Tactical story

Fuenlabrada’s offense thrived on pace and spacing. They attacked early in the shot clock, moved the ball from side to side, and punished Menorca’s rotations with open perimeter looks. Defensively, the hosts limited Menorca’s second-chance points in the second half and forced several contested shots late in possessions. Menorca had success when they played through the post and kicked out to shooters, but they struggled to match Fuenlabrada’s energy on the boards.

Standout performers

Fuenlabrada’s guards controlled the tempo and knocked down important shots, while their big men dominated the glass and protected the rim. The bench also made a meaningful contribution, maintaining the intensity when the starters rested. Menorca’s leading scorers kept the visitors within reach for long stretches, but the team lacked the same balance and depth down the stretch.

What the result means

The win is a valuable home result for Baloncesto Fuenlabrada in the Primera FEB standings and highlights their ability to dictate tempo on their own floor. For Hestia Menorca, the defeat offers lessons about rebounding and late-game execution. Menorca showed enough offensive quality to compete, but they will need to reduce defensive breakdowns and match the physicality of the league’s stronger teams.
