Rahoveci won a dramatic Superliga basketball game 100-99 over Vellaznimi on October 24, 2026, surviving a final possession after a high-scoring contest that went down to the wire. The one-point result came after the lead changed hands repeatedly in the closing minutes, with Rahoveci making just enough plays on both ends to hold on.

Match overview

The Superliga clash was played at a fast pace from the opening quarter, with both teams comfortable trading baskets and attacking early in the shot clock. Rahoveci led by one after the first quarter, but Vellaznimi responded to level the game at halftime. The third quarter belonged to Rahoveci, who built a narrow cushion, and the fourth turned into a possession-by-possession battle. In the end, the hosts’ late execution made the difference in a 100-99 finish.

Key moments

• Halftime deadlock: Vellaznimi’s second-quarter surge tied the game at 49-49, setting up a tense second half.
• Third-quarter run: Rahoveci used a short burst to take a two-point lead into the final period.
• Late lead changes: Both teams traded baskets in the final three minutes, with neither side able to pull away.
• Final defensive stand: Rahoveci forced a contested look on Vellaznimi’s last possession and secured the rebound to seal the win.

Offensive rhythm and tempo

Both teams shot the ball well enough to keep the scoreboard moving, but Rahoveci’s advantage came from balance. The hosts attacked inside early, then used that interior threat to create open perimeter looks later in the game. Vellaznimi stayed in contention with quick ball movement and timely three-point shooting, especially in the second and fourth quarters. The pace never slowed dramatically, which made every defensive stop in the final minutes feel more valuable.

Clutch execution

In a game decided by one point, the small details mattered. Rahoveci made the extra pass on several late possessions and converted key free throws when Vellaznimi was forced to foul. Defensively, the hosts did a better job of contesting without fouling in the final minute. Vellaznimi had a chance to steal the game, but Rahoveci’s rotation on the last possession forced a difficult shot and secured the rebound.

Standout performers and season impact

Rahoveci’s guards controlled the tempo and made smart decisions in the closing minutes, while the frontcourt provided important rebounding and interior scoring. Vellaznimi’s perimeter players kept the team in the game with shot-making, and their big men battled on the glass, but the visitors came up one point short. The win gives Rahoveci momentum in the Superliga standings and adds a memorable one-point result to the season. For Vellaznimi, the loss is painful but also a sign that the team can compete in high-scoring, late-game situations.
