KB Sigal Prishtina left Rahoveci with a hard-earned 97-94 road win in the Superliga, outlasting a stubborn home side in one of the highest-scoring and most entertaining games of the early season. Prishtina led for the majority of the night, but Rahoveci's shooting kept the game alive until the final possessions.

The three-point final margin was the closest the game had been since the opening minutes, and it came after a fourth quarter in which Rahoveci twice cut the deficit to a single basket. Prishtina's composure at the free-throw line in the closing seconds proved to be the difference.

Match Overview

The game was played at a high tempo from the opening tip, with both teams happy to push the pace and trade early baskets. Neither defence found a comfortable rhythm in the first half, and the scoreline reflected it: more than 90 combined points before the break.

Prishtina's decisive spell came either side of halftime. A 26-point second quarter gave the visitors a narrow lead at the interval, and they extended it in the third by winning the period by two, building a cushion that would ultimately be just enough.

Key Moments

Rahoveci came out of the locker room with intent and briefly reclaimed the initiative early in the third quarter, but Prishtina answered with the most important run of the game — a 12-3 stretch anchored by two three-pointers and a fast-break dunk off a steal. That burst pushed the lead into double figures for the first and only time.

The home side refused to fold. A barrage of perimeter shooting dragged Rahoveci back into contention, and with under two minutes to play a contested three made it a one-possession game. Prishtina responded by attacking the rim rather than settling for jumpers, drawing fouls and converting at the line.

With the clock winding down, Rahoveci had one final chance to tie, but a well-defended three-point attempt fell short, and Prishtina secured the rebound to seal the win.

Tactical Story

This was a game of contrasting offensive approaches. Rahoveci relied on ball movement and perimeter shooting, generating open looks through drive-and-kick actions and quick ball reversal. When their shots fell, they looked capable of beating anyone in the league.

Prishtina's edge came inside and at the line. The visitors consistently attacked the paint, drawing contact and forcing Rahoveci into rotations that opened up offensive rebounds and second-chance points. That interior pressure also put the home side in foul trouble late, which proved critical in a game decided by single digits.

Defensively, Prishtina's ability to force turnovers in transition was the quiet difference-maker. Rahoveci's live-ball giveaways turned into easy points at the other end, and in a game where both teams shot the ball well, those free baskets were decisive.

Standout Performers

Prishtina's backcourt controlled the tempo throughout. Their leading scorer finished with 26 points and six assists, consistently breaking down the defence in the pick-and-roll and getting to the free-throw line in the fourth quarter. A strong performance from the forward positions added scoring balance and helped Prishtina survive Rahoveci's runs.

Rahoveci's best night came from their shooting guard, who scored 28 points with six three-pointers and kept the home crowd engaged until the very end. Their big man recorded a double-double and won his share of the interior battle, but foul trouble limited his minutes in the closing stretch.

What It Means

Road wins in the Superliga are hard to come by, and Prishtina's ability to close out a tight game away from home is exactly the kind of result that separates title contenders from the chasing pack. The team showed maturity in the final two minutes, choosing high-percentage plays over contested jumpers.

For Rahoveci, the loss is a tough one to absorb but not a damaging one. Competing on equal terms with one of the league's strongest sides and pushing them to the final possession sends a clear message that they belong in the upper half of the table. Converting one or two of those late looks would have changed the whole narrative.

The result leaves both teams with plenty to build on, and sets up an intriguing return fixture later in the season.
