Bora vs Vellaznimi: Bora Dominate 90-67 in Superliga Basketball

Bora delivered a comprehensive 90-67 victory over Vellaznimi on September 20, 2026, in the Superliga. The home side controlled the game from the opening quarter, using full-court pressure and efficient inside scoring to build a lead they never surrendered. The 23-point win was Bora's most convincing performance of the early season and a clear statement in the Superliga standings.

Match Overview

Quarter scores: 25-14, 23-18, 22-16, 20-19. Bora raced out to a 25-14 lead after one quarter and extended the margin to 48-32 at halftime. Vellaznimi never found a consistent offensive rhythm, managing just 32 first-half points. Bora's defense was the difference, forcing turnovers and turning them into easy transition baskets. The lead grew to 28 points in the third quarter before Vellaznimi won the final frame by a single point.

Turning Point

The game's decisive stretch came early in the third quarter. Leading 50-34, Bora ripped off a 12-0 run over a three-minute span, highlighted by two steals that led to dunks and a transition three. That run pushed the advantage to 62-34 and effectively ended Vellaznimi's hopes of a comeback. Vellaznimi's coach called multiple timeouts, but Bora's intensity did not drop.

Tactical Edge

Bora's full-court pressure disrupted Vellaznimi's half-court sets and forced them into 18 turnovers. Offensively, Bora attacked the paint relentlessly, scoring 46 points in the key and drawing 24 fouls. Their ball movement was sharp, with 22 assists on 34 made field goals. Vellaznimi, by contrast, settled for contested jumpers and finished the game shooting just 38% from the floor.

Standout Players

Bora's starting guard led all scorers with 22 points and 7 assists, consistently breaking down the defense. Their power forward added 18 points and 10 rebounds, while the bench chipped in 30 points. Vellaznimi's top performer scored 17 points, but he was the only visiting player to reach double figures until late in the fourth quarter. Bora's balanced attack was simply too much to handle.

Superliga Context

With the win, Bora strengthens their position in the Superliga table and builds confidence for the next stretch of fixtures. The result also improves their head-to-head record against Vellaznimi in recent meetings. For Vellaznimi, the loss is a tough lesson in handling pressure and protecting the basketball. They will need to regroup quickly, as the Superliga schedule offers little time for rest.
