GMA Napoli delivered a dominant road performance in Italy Women A2, defeating Salerno W 79-47 on October 25, 2026. The visitors controlled the game from the opening quarter and never allowed Salerno to settle, turning a strong defensive display into a comfortable 32-point victory.

Match Overview

GMA Napoli set the tone early with aggressive defense and quick ball movement. Salerno W struggled to find open looks against Napoli’s pressure, and the visitors took advantage with a series of transition baskets. By halftime, the game had already taken on a clear shape: Napoli was sharper, deeper, and more efficient on both ends.

The second half followed a similar pattern. Napoli continued to rotate its lineup without losing intensity, while Salerno’s offensive difficulties persisted. The final score of 79-47 reflected Napoli’s control over all four quarters.

Key Moments

• Napoli opened the game with a strong defensive sequence, forcing Salerno into several early turnovers.
• A second-quarter run pushed the visitors’ lead into double digits and forced Salerno to chase the game.
• Napoli’s three-point shooting stretched the defense and opened driving lanes in the third quarter.
• The visitors closed the third period with a decisive burst that effectively ended Salerno’s hopes of a comeback.

Tactical Story

GMA Napoli’s defense was the foundation of the win. The visitors pressured the ball, closed down shooting space, and forced Salerno into rushed decisions. On offense, Napoli played with patience and balance, mixing inside touches with perimeter shooting. That variety made it difficult for Salerno to protect the paint and contest the arc at the same time.

Salerno W showed flashes of energy, but the team could not string together enough stops to build momentum. Napoli’s rebounding advantage and superior bench production widened the gap as the game wore on.

Standout Performers

Napoli’s guards dictated the pace and consistently found open teammates, while the frontcourt controlled the boards and finished around the rim. Salerno’s best contributions came from individual effort plays, but the team lacked the collective scoring punch needed to stay close.

What It Means

The 79-47 win is a statement result for GMA Napoli in Italy Women A2, highlighting its defensive quality and depth. For Salerno W, the loss is a difficult night but also a clear learning opportunity: against a team as organized as Napoli, every possession and every defensive rotation matters.
