Tactical Story

Offensively, San Giovanni were patient, working the ball inside and attacking the offensive glass when shots missed. Battipaglia competed hard on defense and kept the game close for three quarters, but their shooting drought in the final period proved costly.

Standout Performers and Season Impact

San Giovanni’s frontcourt set the tone with strong work on the boards and physical defense in the paint, while their guards managed the tempo well in the closing minutes. Battipaglia’s effort was notable, especially on the defensive end, but they lacked the late scoring punch needed to complete the comeback. The win gives San Giovanni valuable momentum in the Italian Lega Basket Serie A Women standings and strengthens their confidence ahead of the next round, while Battipaglia will look to bounce back with a more efficient offensive display.
