Maccabi Ashdod Women delivered one of the most emphatic results of the Israel Women’s Premier League season on October 20, 2026, overwhelming Maccabi Karmiel (W) 101-50. The 51-point margin and the century mark on the scoreboard underlined Ashdod’s dominance from the opening tip.

Match overview

Maccabi Ashdod Women were in control almost from the start, using relentless defensive pressure and quick ball movement to carve open the Karmiel defense. The hosts reached the century mark with room to spare, while Maccabi Karmiel Women were left searching for answers against a team that was sharper on both ends of the floor.

The final score of 101-50 tells the story of a game that became one-sided early. Ashdod’s ability to score in transition, knock down open shots and dominate the glass turned the contest into a statement performance.

How the game turned

The first quarter set the tone. Maccabi Ashdod came out with high energy, forced turnovers and converted them into easy baskets. Karmiel tried to slow the pace, but Ashdod’s defensive pressure created too many extra possessions. By halftime, the hosts had built a lead that allowed them to play with freedom in the second half.

The third quarter removed any doubt. Ashdod opened with another run, stretching the margin beyond 30 points and forcing Karmiel into contested shots. The fourth quarter was played with the result already settled, but Ashdod kept their focus and completed a comprehensive victory.

Tactical story

Maccabi Ashdod’s defensive intensity was the foundation of the win. The hosts contested passes, closed driving lanes and turned live-ball turnovers into fast-break points. Offensively, Ashdod shared the ball well and attacked the paint before kicking out to open shooters. The balance between inside scoring and perimeter shooting made the offense difficult to guard.

Maccabi Karmiel Women struggled to handle Ashdod’s pressure. The visitors had few clean looks and were often forced into late-clock attempts. Ashdod’s rebounding advantage also limited Karmiel’s second-chance opportunities, further tilting the game in the hosts’ favor.

Standout performers

• Maccabi Ashdod’s backcourt: Set the defensive tone and pushed the pace whenever the opportunity arrived.
• Maccabi Ashdod’s frontline: Controlled the paint and helped the team dominate the rebounding battle.
• Maccabi Karmiel’s guards: Kept competing, but the team could not find enough consistent offense to slow Ashdod’s runs.

Season impact

A 101-50 victory is more than just a win; it is a statement of intent. Maccabi Ashdod Women will take confidence from reaching 101 points and from the defensive authority they showed across four quarters. For Maccabi Karmiel (W), the result is a difficult one to absorb, but it also provides a clear picture of the areas that need improvement. In the Israel Women’s Premier League standings, the margin and momentum could matter as the season develops.
