Bnei Yehuda (W) edged Holon Woman 88-84 in a thrilling Israel Women’s Premier League contest on 18 October 2026. The hosts survived a tense fourth quarter, using timely free throws and key defensive stops to secure a hard-fought home victory in a game that remained in the balance until the final minute.

Match overview

The game was closely contested from the start, with both teams trading baskets and neither able to establish a significant lead. Bnei Yehuda found some success attacking the paint, while Holon Woman kept pace with perimeter shooting and quick ball movement. The halftime margin was narrow, and the third quarter did little to separate the teams.

The final period delivered the drama expected from such a tight matchup. Holon Woman tied the game late, but Bnei Yehuda responded with a composed run and made the crucial plays down the stretch. The hosts’ rebounding and free-throw shooting proved decisive in the closing minutes.

Key moments

With the game tied in the fourth quarter, Bnei Yehuda produced a short but decisive scoring burst, capped by a strong finish inside and a pair of free throws. Holon Woman had chances to answer, but a missed three-pointer and a turnover in the final minute allowed the hosts to protect their lead. Bnei Yehuda’s composure at the line in the final seconds sealed the result.

Tactical story

Bnei Yehuda’s advantage came on the glass and at the free-throw line. The hosts attacked the offensive boards aggressively, creating extra possessions, and drew enough contact to get into the bonus early in the fourth quarter. Defensively, they did enough to contest Holon’s perimeter looks, even though the visitors shot well for long stretches.

Holon Woman’s offense was at its best when the ball moved quickly and found open shooters. The visitors stretched Bnei Yehuda’s defense and kept the game close with timely three-pointers. However, their late turnovers and inability to secure defensive rebounds in key moments proved costly. Bnei Yehuda’s bench also provided a useful spark, helping the hosts maintain energy through a demanding late tip-off.

Standout performers

Bnei Yehuda’s backcourt handled the pressure well and made important decisions in the final quarter, while the frontcourt delivered crucial rebounds and second-chance points. Holon Woman’s leading scorers kept the visitors in contention with confident shooting, but the team could not quite complete the comeback.

What it means

The win gives Bnei Yehuda (W) an important result in the Israel Women’s Premier League standings and reinforces their ability to close out tight games at home. For Holon Woman, the loss is a narrow one, but the team will need to clean up late-game execution and rebounding if it wants to turn similar performances into victories. With the margin just four points, the details proved decisive.
