Elizzur Maccabi Netanya produced a dominant 103-67 home victory over Hapoel Migdal Haemek in the Israel Basketball League on Friday, October 23, 2026. Netanya controlled the game from the opening minutes and never allowed the visitors to settle into a comfortable rhythm.

Match overview

The home side set the tone with full-court pressure and quick transition baskets, racing to an early double-digit lead. Hapoel Migdal Haemek tried to slow the pace with half-court sets, but Netanya’s defensive intensity forced turnovers and rushed shots. By halftime, the game had already taken on a clear shape, with Netanya leading comfortably and dictating terms on both ends.

The second half was more of the same. Netanya rotated its bench freely but maintained its defensive pressure and continued to knock down open three-pointers. Migdal Haemek found some success inside late in the game, but the outcome was never in doubt. The 103-67 final score reflected Netanya’s superiority in shooting, depth, and defensive execution.

Key moments

• Netanya opened the game with a 15-2 run, forcing an early Migdal Haemek timeout.
• A barrage of three-pointers late in the second quarter pushed the lead past 20 points before halftime.
• Netanya’s bench maintained the intensity in the fourth quarter, extending the margin to 36 points.

Tactical story

Netanya’s full-court pressure disrupted Migdal Haemek’s offensive flow from the start. The visitors struggled to advance the ball cleanly and often settled for contested shots late in the shot clock. Offensively, Netanya spaced the floor well and attacked closeouts, creating open looks from beyond the arc and driving lanes to the basket.

Migdal Haemek’s best moments came when it slowed the game down and attacked the interior, but those stretches were too brief. Netanya’s defensive rotations were sharp, and its rebounding limited second-chance opportunities. The home team’s depth also played a role, as fresh legs kept the pressure high even after substitutions.

Standout performers

Roei Haber led Elizzur Maccabi Netanya with 24 points and seven assists, orchestrating the offense with poise and hitting several early three-pointers. Shai Ben Atar added 19 points and six rebounds, while Lior Maman came off the bench to score 16 points. For Hapoel Migdal Haemek, Shai Kadosh top-scored with 16 points, and Aviram Levy added 12 points and eight rebounds.

Season impact

The blowout win is a statement result for Elizzur Maccabi Netanya in the Israel Basketball League standings and should boost the team’s confidence on both ends of the court. For Hapoel Migdal Haemek, the defeat offers a clear reminder of the gap between the league’s stronger sides and its struggling teams. Migdal Haemek will need to improve its ball security and defensive communication ahead of its next game.
