A dominant third quarter, in which they outscored Satya Wacana 21-13, effectively put the game out of reach at 61-43. Key moments

The decisive run came early in the third quarter. Leading 40-30, Kesatria scored 10 unanswered points in just over two minutes, forcing Satya Wacana into a timeout. The Saints briefly steadied themselves with a pair of inside baskets, but Kesatria answered with back-to-back three-pointers to push the lead to 55-36 and take complete control of the contest.

Tactical story

Kesatria’s full-court pressure was the story of the game. The Saints committed 18 turnovers, many of them leading directly to layups at the other end. Kesatria also moved the ball well in the half court, generating open corner threes and attacking closeouts with purpose. Satya Wacana found some success when they were able to establish their big men near the rim, but those moments were too infrequent to change the game’s direction.

Standout performers

Rizky Maulana led Kesatria with 21 points and six assists, repeatedly breaking down the Satya Wacana defense off the dribble. Bima Saputra added 16 points and 10 rebounds, while guard Andika Putra contributed 12 points and four steals. For the Saints, Yosua Pratama scored 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds, but he received limited support from the perimeter as Kesatria’s defense collapsed into the paint.

Season impact

The victory gives Kesatria Bengawan Solo an important edge in the IBL Cup standings and reinforces their reputation as a tough defensive matchup. Satya Wacana Saints Salatiga will need to address their ball security and transition defense before their next game, as those weaknesses were exposed throughout the afternoon. For Kesatria, the challenge will be maintaining the same intensity against opponents who are better equipped to handle pressure.
