Dewa United secured a comfortable 63-44 win over Satya Wacana Saints Salatiga in the Indonesia IBL Cup on 27 October 2026. A disciplined defensive effort and a steady offensive performance gave Dewa United control from the opening minutes.

The 19-point margin was built on consistency. Dewa United won every quarter and never allowed Satya Wacana to mount a serious comeback, keeping the Saints at arm’s length throughout.

Match overview

Dewa United’s quarter-by-quarter advantage underlined their control of the contest:

• First quarter: Dewa United 16-10 Satya Wacana
• Second quarter: Dewa United 15-12 Satya Wacana
• Third quarter: Dewa United 17-11 Satya Wacana
• Fourth quarter: Dewa United 15-11 Satya Wacana

Leading 31-22 at half-time, Dewa United pulled away in the third quarter with a run of efficient offense and several key defensive stops. Satya Wacana struggled to close the gap, managing just 22 points across the first two quarters.

Key moments

The first-quarter defensive stretch set the tone, with Dewa United forcing turnovers and converting them into transition baskets. A 7-0 run midway through the second quarter pushed the lead to double digits for the first time.

In the third quarter, Dewa United put the game beyond doubt with a 10-2 burst. Satya Wacana tried to respond from beyond the arc, but Dewa United’s closeouts were sharp and the Saints were forced into difficult late-clock attempts.

Tactical story

Dewa United’s half-court defense was compact and well organized, cutting off driving lanes and forcing Satya Wacana into long-range shots. The Saints shot poorly from the perimeter and struggled to generate second-chance points against a physical Dewa United front line.

On offense, Dewa United played with patience, moving the ball until they found an open look. Their size inside created problems for Satya Wacana, and when the defense collapsed, Dewa United’s guards knocked down timely shots.

Standout performers

Dewa United’s interior players controlled the paint and rebounding battle, while their guards managed the tempo and protected the ball. Satya Wacana’s best contributions came on the defensive end, but the team lacked the offensive firepower to keep pace.

Season impact

The victory gives Dewa United a solid platform in the IBL Cup and highlights their defensive identity. Satya Wacana Saints Salatiga will need to improve their shooting and ball movement as they look to bounce back in their next fixture.
