Kesatria Bengawan Solo delivered a disciplined 65-50 road victory over Amartha Hangtuah in the Indonesia IBL Cup on October 28, 2026. In a game defined by defense and physical play, Kesatria controlled the middle quarters and kept Amartha at arm’s length to secure a valuable win.

Match Overview

The opening quarter was a defensive struggle, with both teams struggling to find rhythm from the perimeter. Amartha Hangtuah tried to establish an inside presence, but Kesatria’s compact defense forced contested shots and limited second-chance opportunities. Kesatria gradually settled into the game and built a small lead by attacking the basket in transition.

The second half belonged largely to the visitors. Kesatria increased its defensive pressure, forcing Amartha into turnovers and difficult late-clock attempts. Offensively, Kesatria moved the ball patiently and found open looks inside, steadily extending the lead. Amartha’s shooting woes continued, and the home side was unable to mount a sustained comeback.

Key Moments

The decisive run came in the third quarter. With Amartha threatening to close the gap, Kesatria produced a 10-0 burst built on defensive stops and efficient scoring at the other end. The run forced Amartha to call timeout, but the momentum had already shifted. Kesatria’s half-court defense continued to frustrate the home side, and the visitors carried a comfortable lead into the final period.

Amartha attempted to increase the pace in the fourth quarter, but Kesatria remained composed. The visitors protected the ball, made timely free throws, and prevented Amartha from stringing together enough baskets to make the finish tense.

Tactical Story

Kesatria Bengawan Solo’s win was built on defensive discipline. The team contested shots, closed driving lanes, and forced Amartha into low-percentage attempts. On offense, Kesatria prioritized paint touches and offensive rebounds, generating enough second-chance points to offset a modest three-point shooting night.

Amartha Hangtuah struggled with spacing and shot selection. The home side found some success when attacking the rim, but inconsistent perimeter shooting allowed Kesatria to pack the paint. Turnovers also hurt Amartha, particularly during Kesatria’s decisive third-quarter run.

Standout Performers

Kesatria’s guards set the tone with pressure defense and smart decision-making, while the frontcourt controlled the boards and finished efficiently inside. The bench provided energy and helped maintain the defensive intensity. For Amartha, the effort was evident, but the team lacked a consistent scoring threat to break Kesatria’s defensive shape.

IBL Cup Impact

The victory gives Kesatria Bengawan Solo a strong result in the Indonesia IBL Cup and highlights their ability to win with defense. Amartha Hangtuah will need to improve their shooting and ball security in upcoming games. In a competition where defensive execution often decides tight matchups, Kesatria’s performance stands out as a model of control and discipline.
