Panionios B.C. Run Past AS Koroivos Amaliadas 103-85

Panionios B.C. produced the most emphatic offensive performance of the Greece A2 round, defeating AS Koroivos Amaliadas 103-85 at home on October 17, 2026. The hosts crossed the 100-point mark behind a fast, unselfish attack and a decisive second-quarter run that turned a competitive opening into a comfortable victory.

Koroivos stayed within striking distance early, but Panionios’ depth and transition game proved too much over 40 minutes. The home side led by 12 at halftime, extended the advantage to 14 after three quarters, and pulled away in the final period.

Match overview

Panionios set the tone with aggressive defense and quick outlets, scoring 28 first-quarter points. Koroivos matched some of that energy but could not keep pace once the hosts began generating turnovers and second-chance opportunities. By the fourth quarter, Panionios was in full control.

• Quarter scores: Panionios 28-20, 25-21, 24-22, 26-22
• Halftime: Panionios 53-41
• End of third quarter: Panionios 77-63
• Final: Panionios B.C. 103-85 AS Koroivos Amaliadas

Key moments

The game’s defining stretch came late in the second quarter. Leading 39-35, Panionios closed the half with a 14-6 run, capped by two transition layups and a corner three-pointer. That surge pushed the margin into double digits and forced Koroivos to chase the game after the break.

Koroivos briefly threatened in the third quarter, cutting the deficit to nine on a Dionysis Skoulidas three-pointer. Panionios answered with an 8-0 run of its own, fueled by offensive rebounds and a pair of steals. From there, the hosts managed the game calmly and never allowed the visitors to get within single digits again.

Standout performers

• Panagiotis Koukoulas, Panionios B.C.: 20 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds. He controlled tempo and made good decisions in pick-and-roll situations.
• Stavros Papadimitriou, Panionios B.C.: 18 points and 10 rebounds, anchoring the interior on both ends.
• Nikos Pappas, Panionios B.C.: 16 points, including four three-pointers. His shooting stretched Koroivos’ defense.
• Dionysis Skoulidas, AS Koroivos Amaliadas: 19 points and 6 rebounds. He was the visitors’ most consistent offensive threat.
• Christos Saloustros, AS Koroivos Amaliadas: 15 points and 7 assists, keeping Koroivos organized despite heavy pressure.

Tactical story

Panionios won this game with pace and balance. The hosts moved the ball quickly, attacked early in the shot clock and finished with five players in double figures. Their 12 made three-pointers forced Koroivos to defend the entire half-court, opening driving lanes that Panionios exploited repeatedly.

Koroivos had success in the half-court when it slowed the game down, but it could not stop Panionios’ transition attack. The visitors also struggled on the defensive glass, conceding too many second-chance points. Panionios’ ability to turn defensive stops into quick offense was the clearest difference between the teams.

What it means

The result is a statement win for Panionios B.C. in the Greece A2 standings and a confidence boost for a team that looks capable of scoring with anyone in the division. For AS Koroivos Amaliadas, the loss highlights the need for better transition defense and rebounding discipline, though the offense showed enough promise to suggest better results are ahead.
