Panerythraikos secured an 89-83 road win over Ermis Agias in Greece A2 basketball on October 20, 2026, using a late surge and efficient perimeter shooting to overcome a stubborn home side. The victory gives Panerythraikos an important result in the early promotion race and hands Ermis Agias a narrow home defeat.

The game was closely contested for three quarters, with both teams trading runs and neither able to pull away. Ermis Agias found success inside and at the free-throw line, while Panerythraikos relied on ball movement and three-point shooting to stay within striking distance. The final quarter swung on a series of defensive stops and clutch shots from the visitors.

Match Overview: Late Execution Decides It

With the score tight entering the fourth, Panerythraikos increased its defensive pressure and forced Ermis Agias into contested shots. The visitors’ guards attacked the paint and kicked out to open shooters, generating a decisive run. Ermis Agias fought back behind offensive rebounding and free throws, but Panerythraikos made the bigger plays in the final two minutes.

The final score of 89-83 reflected Panerythraikos’s ability to score in bunches when needed. Ermis Agias kept the game within one possession for long stretches but could not find a go-ahead basket in crunch time.

Key Moments

• Fourth-quarter three-pointer: Panerythraikos hit a contested triple to extend the lead to two possessions.
• Defensive stop: A charge drawn with under a minute left ended Ermis Agias’s comeback hopes.
• Clutch free throws: The visitors converted down the stretch to seal the win.

Tactical Story: Perimeter Shooting vs. Interior Play

Panerythraikos won this game from beyond the arc, using spacing and quick ball reversals to create open looks. Their guards consistently beat closeouts and found shooters in rhythm. Defensively, they adjusted to Ermis Agias’s interior attack by doubling the post and forcing kick-out passes.

Ermis Agias enjoyed an advantage in the paint and on the offensive glass, but turnovers and missed free throws in the fourth quarter hurt. The home side’s half-court offense became predictable late, and Panerythraikos’s active hands led to crucial transition opportunities.

Standout Performers and Season Impact

Panerythraikos’s backcourt controlled the tempo and made big shots in the fourth quarter. The frontcourt battled on the boards and provided timely inside scoring. For Ermis Agias, the interior effort was strong, but the team needed more balanced production from the perimeter.

This result matters in the Greece A2 standings, where every road win can shape the promotion picture. Panerythraikos will take confidence from closing out a tight game, while Ermis Agias will focus on late-game execution and free-throw shooting. The 89-83 final adds another competitive chapter to their head-to-head history.
