Peiramatiko Machites claimed a high-scoring 96-91 road win over AS Koroivos Amaliadas in the Greek A2 Basketball League on 24 October 2026, finishing strongly in a game that produced 187 combined points.

Match overview

Koroivos Amaliadas brought scoring punch to the home floor, but Peiramatiko Machites matched them basket for basket and found better execution in the closing minutes. The visitors’ 96-point output was built on quick ball movement, transition opportunities and confident perimeter shooting, while Koroivos kept the game close with a balanced attack of their own.

The final margin of five points underlines how tight the contest was. Neither team managed to build a double-digit cushion for long, and the lead changed hands repeatedly as both sides traded runs. In the end, Peiramatiko’s late-game shot selection and composure at the free-throw line made the difference.

Key moments

The decisive stretch came in the fourth quarter, when Peiramatiko turned a narrow deficit into a lead with a series of efficient offensive possessions. A few contested baskets and a timely stop gave the visitors the breathing room they needed. Koroivos had chances to respond, but a couple of missed shots and turnovers in the final two minutes interrupted their rhythm.

Peiramatiko’s ability to score late in the shot clock was particularly important. With the home crowd urging Koroivos on, the visitors stayed calm and refused to rush offensive possessions.

Tactical story

This was a game played at pace. Both teams looked to attack early in possessions, and the high score reflected a willingness to shoot from the perimeter and push the ball after misses. Peiramatiko’s spacing created driving lanes, while Koroivos used their interior scoring to stay in touch.

The difference was defensive disruption. Peiramatiko forced a handful of extra turnovers and converted them into quick points. Koroivos competed on the glass, but they could not consistently slow the visitors’ ball movement in the closing quarter.

Standout performers

Peiramatiko’s guards dictated the tempo and delivered key baskets in the final period, while their forwards contributed important rebounds and second-chance points. Koroivos received a strong overall scoring effort, with multiple players involved, but the home side lacked one final defensive stop when the game was on the line.

Season impact

The road win is a significant result for Peiramatiko Machites in the Greece A2 standings and a confidence boost for their away form. Koroivos Amaliadas will be disappointed to lose a game in which they scored 91 points at home, but the performance showed their offensive potential. Both teams will look to build on different lessons from a fast-paced, entertaining contest.
