Landerneau Bretagne Women secured a hard-fought 67-64 road win against Tronche Meylan Women in the France Ligue Féminine de Basketball on 18 October 2026, edging a contest that remained tight from the opening tip to the final possession. The visitors trailed at halftime but used a composed fourth quarter to leave with a three-point victory.

Match Overview

The quarter scores told the story of a back-and-forth game: 17-18 after one, 33-34 at halftime, 47-52 through three, and 64-67 at the final buzzer. Neither team led by more than seven points. Landerneau's perimeter defense and late free-throw shooting proved decisive, while Tronche Meylan's interior scoring kept the home side within striking distance until the final seconds.

Key Moments

The decisive run came with just over four minutes remaining, when Landerneau scored seven unanswered points to turn a 56-55 deficit into a 62-56 lead. Tronche Meylan responded with a three-pointer and a transition layup to cut the gap to one, but Landerneau converted four straight free throws in the final minute. A contested three at the buzzer fell short for the hosts.

Tactical Story

Landerneau's game plan centered on ball pressure and denying clean entry passes into the post. That approach forced Tronche Meylan into several late-clock possessions and limited their second-chance points. Offensively, Landerneau moved the ball effectively against the zone and attacked closeouts. Tronche Meylan won the rebounding battle but turned the ball over at critical moments, especially in the fourth quarter.

Standout Performers

• Landerneau's guards: handled pressure, hit timely shots, and made free throws down the stretch.
• Tronche Meylan's frontcourt: scored consistently inside and kept the hosts in the game.
• The Landerneau bench: provided energy and defensive stops in the second half.

Season Impact

The road win gives Landerneau Bretagne valuable momentum in the Ligue Féminine de Basketball standings and shows they can close out tight games away from home. Tronche Meylan will rue missed opportunities, but the performance confirmed their competitiveness in the early season. The result adds another narrow chapter to what is already a closely contested campaign.
