Feytiat Women will welcome Toulouse Women to the Complexe Sportif de Feytiat for a France Women’s Basketball Cup tie on Thursday, October 29, 2026. The 02:00 tip-off sets up a fascinating knockout matchup between a club eager to protect home advantage and a Toulouse side with ambitions of making a deep cup run.

Match overview

Cup basketball often rewards teams that can adapt quickly, and this game is no exception. Feytiat Women have built their season around organization, defensive rotations and a patient half-court attack. Toulouse Women arrive with a more athletic profile, capable of turning defense into offense and creating extra possessions with their activity on the wings.

The single-elimination format raises the stakes. Neither team can afford a slow start, and both coaches are likely to shorten their rotations earlier than usual if the game stays close. For Feytiat, the home crowd could be the extra spark; for Toulouse, the challenge is to impose their pace before the game settles into Feytiat’s preferred rhythm.

Form and head-to-head

Feytiat have been difficult to beat at home, where their defensive communication and rebounding improve noticeably. Toulouse have shown better form away from home in recent weeks, with their guards finding ways to score in transition and their forwards doing the dirty work on the offensive glass.

• Feytiat Women: disciplined in the half court, strong in help defense and comfortable in low-scoring games.
• Toulouse Women: dangerous in open space, with the athleticism to pressure the ball for long stretches.
• Head-to-head: recent meetings have been tight, with the winner often decided in the final five minutes.

Tactical story

The central question is whether Feytiat can keep Toulouse out of transition. If Feytiat’s shot selection is good and their floor balance is disciplined, they can force Toulouse into a half-court game. That would favor the home side’s structured defense and allow them to use their size inside.

Toulouse will counter by pushing after every made basket and trying to create mismatches with ball screens. Their guards will look to attack the paint early, not necessarily to score but to collapse the defense and generate open corner threes. Feytiat’s closeouts and defensive rebounding will be tested throughout.

Standout players to watch

• Léa Pellerin (Feytiat Women): a composed guard who sets the tone on both ends and rarely panics under pressure.
• Chloé Martin (Feytiat Women): an interior presence who scores efficiently around the rim and protects the paint.
• Aminata Diallo (Toulouse Women): a dynamic wing who can score in transition and create for others.
• Emma Roux (Toulouse Women): a perimeter shooter whose spacing is crucial to Toulouse’s half-court offense.

France Women’s Basketball Cup context

The France Women’s Basketball Cup gives clubs from different levels a chance to measure themselves in a knockout environment, and Feytiat versus Toulouse is a classic example of styles clashing. Feytiat will want to make the game physical and half-court oriented; Toulouse will want it fast and open. The team that controls the tempo for longer stretches is likely to advance.

Keys to victory

• Feytiat Women: protect the ball, rebound defensively and force Toulouse to earn points against a set defense.
• Toulouse Women: generate transition opportunities, attack the paint early and avoid settling for contested threes.

This has the makings of a tight cup tie. Feytiat’s home-court organization gives them a narrow advantage, but Toulouse’s athleticism makes them dangerous for all 40 minutes.
