Tactical Story

Union Tarbes Lourdes won this game with pace and perimeter precision. Their guards pushed the ball after every defensive rebound, forcing Pays de Fougères to defend in scramble mode. When the home side packed the paint, Tarbes Lourdes swung the ball quickly and knocked down open threes. The visitors also did an excellent job of attacking closeouts, creating fouls and second-chance opportunities.

Pays de Fougères Basket had moments of success inside, using their size to score over smaller defenders and crash the offensive glass. However, their half-court defense struggled to contain dribble penetration, and their offense went through scoring droughts when Tarbes Lourdes increased their ball pressure. The home team’s 79 points were respectable, but they needed a stronger defensive effort to slow down a Tarbes Lourdes team that scored efficiently in every quarter.

Standout Performers

Tarbes Lourdes’ backcourt was the engine of the win, combining for timely scoring and creating easy looks for teammates. Their leading scorer was particularly effective in transition, while the frontcourt provided solid screens, rebounding and interior finishing. The visitors’ depth also showed, with contributions from the bench helping maintain the lead when the starters rested.

For Pays de Fougères Basket, the interior players fought hard on the boards and finished well around the rim. The guards showed flashes of creativity in the pick-and-roll, but turnovers and missed rotations proved costly. It was a night when the home team’s effort was visible, but the execution on both ends fell short against a sharper opponent.
