Neither team found an offensive rhythm in the opening quarter, with both defenses dictating play. Key Moments

The decisive stretch came midway through the fourth quarter. With the score tied at 55, Berck/Rang Du Fliers forced three consecutive stops and converted them into a 7-0 run. Lyonso Basket called timeout to stop the bleeding, but the visitors' defense held firm, and a late three-pointer from the corner pushed the lead to eight and effectively sealed the result.

Lyonso had one last push, cutting the deficit to four with under a minute to play, but missed free throws and a turnover on the next possession ended any realistic hope of a comeback.

Tactical Story

This was a classic defensive battle. Both teams packed the paint and dared the other to shoot from the outside, and for much of the night, those shots did not fall. Berck/Rang Du Fliers won the game by being slightly more efficient in the half-court and by dominating the offensive glass, which gave them extra possessions in the fourth quarter.

Lyonso Basket moved the ball well at times but struggled to finish around the rim against Berck's length. Their guards created decent looks, but the team's shooting percentage from beyond the arc was ultimately the difference in a game decided by six points.

Standout Performers

• Berck/Rang Du Fliers frontcourt: Controlled the boards and provided timely second-chance points, finishing with a combined 24 points and 18 rebounds.
• Lyonso Basket guards: Combined for 29 points but were held to a low shooting percentage in the second half.
• Berck bench: Provided a spark in the third quarter that helped the visitors take a lead they would not relinquish.

What It Means

For Berck/Rang Du Fliers, this is a valuable road win built on defense and rebounding — the kind of victory that travels well in Nationale 1. It keeps them moving in the right direction early in the season. Lyonso Basket, meanwhile, will be frustrated by a game they were in until the final minutes. Closing out tight games is a skill this team will need to develop if they want to climb the standings.
