Tromso Storm Run Away from Nidaros Jets in 104-74 Firi-ligaen Victory

Tromso Storm produced a dominant road performance on October 24, 2026, defeating Nidaros Jets 104-74 in the Firi-ligaen. The visitors were relentless on offense, turning a competitive opening into a blowout with a sustained run of scoring and defensive pressure.

The 30-point margin underlined Tromso’s control. Nidaros stayed in contact early but had no answer once the Storm found their rhythm from beyond the arc and in transition. It was a complete team performance from the visitors, who shared the ball well and kept the Jets chasing the game.

Match Overview

The first quarter was played at a fast pace, with both teams looking to attack early. Nidaros found some success inside, using their size to create second-chance opportunities. Tromso, however, matched them basket for basket and soon began to pull away thanks to their perimeter shooting.

The second and third quarters were where the game truly turned. Tromso tightened their defense, forced turnovers, and converted them into quick points. Nidaros’ offense became increasingly stagnant, relying on individual plays rather than collective movement. By the final quarter, the visitors were firmly in control and cruised to the finish.

Key Moments

• First-half shooting burst: Tromso’s three-point shooting helped them build a double-digit lead before halftime.
• Third-quarter press: The Storm increased their defensive pressure, turning steals into easy transition baskets.
• Bench energy: Tromso’s reserves maintained the intensity, extending the lead even with rotations.
• Nidaros scoring drought: A long stretch without a field goal allowed the game to slip away.

Tactical Story

Tromso’s offensive execution was the story of the night. They spaced the floor well, moved the ball with purpose, and consistently found the open man. Their guards attacked the paint and kicked out to shooters, while their big men ran the floor hard in transition. Defensively, Tromso were aggressive but disciplined, closing out on shooters and contesting inside looks.

Nidaros Jets had their moments, particularly when they slowed the game and worked the ball into the post. But they struggled to contain Tromso’s pace and were punished for turnovers. The Jets’ defense also had no answer for the Storm’s ball movement, which created too many open looks.

Standout Performers

Tromso’s backcourt dictated the tempo and knocked down key shots, while their frontcourt controlled the boards and protected the rim. Nidaros had a few bright individual performances, but the team as a whole could not match Tromso’s energy over four quarters. The Storm’s balanced scoring made them extremely difficult to defend.

Season Impact

A 104-74 road win sends a strong message in the Firi-ligaen. Tromso Storm will take confidence from their offensive efficiency and defensive intensity, while Nidaros Jets must regroup and address their transition defense. The result adds momentum to Tromso’s campaign and leaves Nidaros with clear areas to improve.
