The Centrum Tigers delivered one of their most complete performances of the Firi-ligaen season on Saturday night, dismantling the Nidaros Jets 91-60 in front of an energized home crowd in Oslo. The 31-point margin was built on relentless defensive pressure and a balanced scoring attack that never allowed the visitors from Trondheim to settle into any kind of rhythm.

Match Overview

From the opening tip, the Tigers made their intentions clear. They pushed the tempo, attacked the rim early, and forced the Jets into contested shots on the other end. By the end of the first quarter the hosts had already opened a double-digit cushion, and the gap only widened as the game wore on.

The final scoreline of 91-60 reflects a game that was effectively decided before the halfway point, but the Tigers kept their foot on the gas, refusing to let complacency creep in during the closing stages.

Quarter-by-Quarter Breakdown

• First quarter: Centrum Tigers 24, Nidaros Jets 14
• Second quarter: Centrum Tigers 22, Nidaros Jets 16
• Third quarter: Centrum Tigers 25, Nidaros Jets 15
• Fourth quarter: Centrum Tigers 20, Nidaros Jets 15

The Tigers won every single quarter, a statistic that speaks to their consistency on both ends of the floor and the difficulty the Jets had in generating any sustained momentum.

How the Tigers Won

The story of the night was defensive intensity. Centrum Tigers disrupted passing lanes, closed out hard on shooters, and turned a string of Nidaros turnovers into easy transition baskets. That defensive energy translated directly into offense, with the home side repeatedly scoring in the open floor before the Jets could set their half-court defense.

On the offensive end, the Tigers shared the ball beautifully. Rather than relying on a single scorer to carry the load, they spread the production across the rotation, punishing the Jets whenever help defense arrived a step too late. Crisp ball movement created open looks from the perimeter and clean driving lanes to the basket.

Standout Performers

The Tigers' backcourt controlled the pace of the game from start to finish, dictating when to push in transition and when to slow things down and work the half-court offense. Their interior players were equally influential, controlling the rebounding battle on both ends and giving the team valuable second-chance opportunities.

For the Nidaros Jets, it was a frustrating evening. The Trondheim side struggled to find efficient scoring looks and were repeatedly beaten down the floor. Their brightest moments came in brief bursts during the second and fourth quarters, but they were never able to string together enough stops to threaten a comeback.

Season Impact

A 31-point victory of this nature does more than add a win to the column. It builds confidence, reinforces the team's defensive identity, and sends a message to the rest of the Firi-ligaen that the Centrum Tigers are a side capable of controlling games from wire to wire. For the Nidaros Jets, the focus will now shift to regrouping, tightening their transition defense, and finding more consistent offensive production ahead of their next fixture.

With the result, the Tigers strengthen their position in the standings and continue to build momentum in Norway's premier basketball competition, while the Jets will be eager to bounce back quickly and put this difficult road trip behind them.
