Stelmet Enea BC Zielona Góra vs ONYX Levice: Levice Edge 74-71 Road Battle

ONYX Levice left Poland with a hard-earned 74-71 victory over Stelmet Enea BC Zielona Góra in the FIBA Europe Cup on October 15, 2026. In a game defined by defense, missed opportunities, and a tense final minute, the Slovak visitors made just enough plays down the stretch to hand Zielona Góra a frustrating home defeat.

The result is a significant one in the group phase, as Levice proved they can win on the road against a Zielona Góra side with plenty of European experience. For the Polish club, it was a night of near misses: they held Levice to 74 points but could not find a tying basket in the final seconds.

Match Overview

Zielona Góra began the game with a clear plan to attack the paint, using their forwards to screen and roll while the guards looked for cutters. That approach worked early, helping the hosts build a 21-17 lead after the first quarter. Levice, however, adjusted by switching more aggressively on the perimeter and forcing Zielona Góra into contested mid-range shots.

The second and third quarters were a grind. Neither team shot better than 42% from the field, and the lead changed hands nine times. Levice’s bench provided a spark late in the third, turning a four-point deficit into a 56-54 advantage heading into the final period. From there, the game became a possession-by-possession battle.

Key Moments

• First-quarter control: Zielona Góra used a 9-2 run to take an early 21-17 lead, with most of the damage coming in the paint.
• Levice’s third-quarter push: A 10-2 run, fueled by two three-pointers and a steal, gave the visitors a 56-54 lead entering the fourth.
• Final two minutes: Zielona Góra tied the game at 69-69, but Levice answered with a tough baseline jumper and two free throws.
• Last possession: Zielona Góra had a look from three to tie, but the attempt rimmed out, allowing Levice to close out the 74-71 win.

Tactical Story

Levice won this game with defense and composure. They limited Zielona Góra’s transition opportunities, forced 14 turnovers, and made the hosts work deep into the shot clock. Their half-court defense was especially effective against Zielona Góra’s pick-and-roll, often sending a weak-side helper to disrupt the roller’s catch.

Zielona Góra’s biggest issue was three-point shooting. They finished the night just 6-of-25 from beyond the arc, and several of those misses came on good looks. Levice, meanwhile, shot 9-of-23 from deep and went 11-of-13 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter. That free-throw advantage, combined with a 38-34 rebounding edge, gave the visitors just enough separation.

Standout Players

ONYX Levice were led by their point guard, who scored 20 points and dished out six assists while committing only two turnovers. Their small forward added 15 points and eight rebounds, including a crucial offensive board in the final minute. Stelmet Enea BC Zielona Góra got a strong performance from their center, who posted 18 points and 10 rebounds, while their shooting guard contributed 14 points but struggled from the perimeter.

FIBA Europe Cup Table Impact

With the win, ONYX Levice strengthen their position in the FIBA Europe Cup group and add a valuable road result to their résumé. Zielona Góra remain in the mix, but they will be frustrated to lose a home game in which they led early and had a chance to tie at the end. The group standings remain tight, and both teams will look to this result when tiebreakers are calculated later in the competition.
