Key moments

Levice had chances to answer, but a pair of missed threes and a costly turnover allowed the visitors to control the clock.

Tactical takeaways

Szolnok’s half-court offense was the difference. They used screens effectively to create mismatches and consistently found open shooters when Levice collapsed on the ball. Defensively, Szolnok limited Levice’s transition opportunities in the fourth quarter and forced them into contested jump shots.

Standout performers

Levice’s frontcourt worked hard on the glass and kept the team in contention, while their guards provided sparks with drives and mid-range shooting. In the end, Szolnok’s balance and composure won out.

What it means for the FIBA Europe Cup standings

The win gives Szolnoki Olajbanyasz momentum in the FIBA Europe Cup group phase and underlines their ability to close out tight games on the road. ONYX Levice will take encouragement from long stretches of competitive play but will need to improve their late-game execution if they are to convert similar performances into victories.
