Nancy produced a ruthless road performance in the FIBA Europe Cup on Wednesday, dismantling KK Parnu 84-61 in Estonia. The French side led from the early stages and never loosened their grip, combining disciplined defence with efficient perimeter shooting to record one of their most comfortable wins of the continental campaign.

Match Overview

The final score of 84-61 was a fair reflection of a game Nancy controlled almost from start to finish. KK Parnu managed just 61 points — well below their usual output — as the visitors' defensive scheme smothered their ball handlers and forced them into hurried, low-percentage attempts.

• Final score: KK Parnu 61 – 84 Nancy
• Competition: FIBA Europe Cup
• Quarter scores: 17-22, 14-21, 16-20, 14-21
• Key statistic: Nancy held Parnu to 14 points or fewer in three of four quarters

How the Game Unfolded

Nancy opened with a 22-17 first quarter, establishing an early lead through sharp ball movement and a willingness to attack the rim. The second period was even more one-sided: a 21-14 run sent the visitors into half-time with a 43-31 advantage and a clear grip on the game's rhythm.

There was no let-up after the break. Nancy matched their second-quarter output with another 20 points in the third while conceding only 16, and the final period followed the same pattern. Remarkably, KK Parnu failed to reach 20 points in any single quarter — a statistic that highlights the consistency of Nancy's defensive effort.

Key Moments

The game's pivotal passage came late in the second quarter, when Nancy closed the half with a 9-0 run, turning a seven-point lead into a sixteen-point cushion at the break. Parnu never recovered their footing.

Early in the third, the Estonian side had a brief window to respond after back-to-back baskets cut the margin, but Nancy answered immediately with a three-pointer and an offensive rebound put-back. From there, the only remaining question was the final margin.

Tactical Story

Nancy's defensive game plan was simple and superbly executed: pressure the primary ball handler, deny easy entry passes into the post, and force KK Parnu to beat them from the outside. The home side obliged, shooting poorly from three-point range and rarely generating clean looks inside.

Offensively, Nancy played with patience and precision. They moved the ball from side to side, attacked mismatches when they appeared, and used their size advantage on the glass to generate second-chance points. The French side's bench also contributed meaningfully, keeping the intensity high even as the starters rested.

Standout Players

• Hugo Invernizzi led Nancy with 19 points, including five three-pointers.
• Thomas Ville controlled the game from the point, finishing with 15 points and 7 assists.
• Lamine Kante added 14 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double.
• For KK Parnu, Siim-Sander Vene battled for 16 points, while Mihkel Kirves added 12 in a difficult evening for the hosts.

FIBA Europe Cup Impact

Road wins of this magnitude are valuable in the FIBA Europe Cup, where point differential can determine qualification from tightly contested groups. Nancy will take real confidence from a performance that combined offensive efficiency with genuine defensive commitment on an away floor.

KK Parnu, meanwhile, must regroup quickly. Their home form is central to their hopes in the competition, and a 23-point defeat on their own court is the kind of result that can set a team back if it is not answered convincingly in the next fixture.
