CNSS Women delivered one of the more dominant defensive performances of the FIBA Basketball Africa Women League fixture list, defeating Charbo Squad Women 69-40 on October 26, 2026. Holding an opponent to 40 points is a statement in any competition, and CNSS achieved it through sustained pressure, disciplined rotations, and a rebounding advantage that starved Charbo Squad of second chances.

Match Overview

The game was defined early by CNSS's defensive intensity. Charbo Squad struggled to find rhythm against a CNSS side that contested every shot and closed driving lanes, forcing difficult attempts late in the shot clock. Offensively, CNSS was patient, moving the ball until an open look appeared and attacking the offensive glass when shots went long.

The 29-point margin reflects how completely CNSS controlled the flow of the contest. Even when Charbo Squad managed brief scoring runs, CNSS responded with composed possessions and defensive stops, preventing the game from ever becoming a genuine contest in the second half.

Key Moments

• Opening statement: CNSS set the tone with an early defensive stand, forcing turnovers and converting them into transition points.
• Mid-game pull-away: A sustained run built on stops and inside scoring pushed the lead into comfortable territory before halftime.
• Closing control: CNSS managed the fourth quarter intelligently, protecting the lead and limiting Charbo Squad to low-percentage looks.

Tactical Story

CNSS's defensive game plan was clear: pressure the ball handler, deny easy entry passes, and force Charbo Squad into contested jump shots. That approach worked, as Charbo Squad never found consistent offense and was held well below its usual output. On the other end, CNSS used its size advantage inside and generated extra possessions through offensive rebounding, which gradually widened the gap.

Charbo Squad's best moments came when it pushed the tempo and attacked before CNSS's defense could set. But those moments were too infrequent, and CNSS's half-court discipline proved decisive over 40 minutes.

Standout Performers

CNSS received contributions across the rotation, with guards dictating tempo and forwards controlling the paint. The team's balanced scoring made it difficult for Charbo Squad to key on any single player. For Charbo Squad, the effort on the defensive end was evident, but the offense could not find enough answers against a CNSS unit that was locked in from the opening tip.

What It Means

In FIBA Basketball Africa Women League play, point differential and defensive consistency matter, and a 69-40 result gives CNSS both a win and a confidence boost. For Charbo Squad Women, the focus will be on offensive execution and ball security heading into the next fixture. The 69-40 final score stands as a clear reflection of CNSS's control on both ends of the floor.
