The 41-point margin is one of the most lopsided results of the EuroCup Women round. It gives Villeneuve a major boost in the group standings and reinforces their reputation as a dangerous home team.

How the Game Unfolded

Villeneuve’s defense set the tone. They pressured the ball, jumped passing lanes, and forced Brandys into hurried shots. Offensively, the hosts attacked early in the shot clock, moved the ball from side to side, and punished every defensive mistake.

By the end of the first quarter, Villeneuve led 27-14. The second quarter was even more dominant, as they held Brandys to 11 points while scoring 24. The game was effectively over by halftime, but Villeneuve kept their foot on the gas in the third and fourth quarters.

Tactical Story

Villeneuve’s pressure defense was the story of the game. They forced turnovers, turned misses into transition points, and controlled the defensive glass. Brandys nad Labem Women struggled to run their offense, often settling for contested threes or tough mid-range attempts.

On offense, Villeneuve shared the ball and attacked the rim with purpose. Their guards broke down the defense off the dribble, while the frontcourt finished around the basket and cleaned up second-chance opportunities. The depth of the roster allowed Villeneuve to maintain a high level even after substitutions.

Standout Players and Season Impact

Villeneuve’s balanced scoring made them impossible to defend. Several players reached double figures, and the bench contributed significant points. The team’s defensive energy was consistent for all four quarters, a sign of strong preparation and focus.

For Brandys nad Labem Women, the loss is a difficult one to absorb, but the EuroCup Women season continues. They will need to improve ball security and half-court execution to compete in the group. Villeneuve D'Asco ESB Lille Metropole Women's, meanwhile, strengthens their position in the standings and adds a commanding home win to their EuroCup Women campaign.
