Umana Reyer Venezia Women vs Elitzur Ramla Women: Ramla Edges 67-64 EuroCup Women Battle

Elitzur Ramla Women secured a hard-fought 67-64 road victory over Umana Reyer Venezia Women in the EuroCup Women on October 25, 2026. The game was close throughout, but Ramla’s late-game execution and composure at the free-throw line made the difference in a contest that could have gone either way.

Venezia fought back multiple times and had chances to level the score in the final minute, but Ramla’s defense held firm. The three-point margin reflected the balance of the game: two competitive teams, contrasting styles, and a finish decided by small details.

Match overview

Ramla started brightly and led 19-15 after the first quarter, using quick ball movement and aggressive drives to break down Venezia’s defense. Venezia responded in the second period, tightening its interior defense and getting more production from its frontcourt. At halftime, the visitors held a narrow 33-32 advantage.

The third quarter remained tight, with neither team able to create a double-digit cushion. Ramla led 52-50 entering the final period, setting up a tense finish. Venezia tied the game in the closing minutes, but Ramla answered with timely buckets and free throws to close out the 67-64 win.

Key moments

• Early Ramla tempo: The visitors’ quick guards pushed the pace and created open looks in the first quarter.
• Venezia’s second-quarter response: Improved interior defense and offensive rebounding helped the home side stay within one at halftime.
• Late-game execution: With the score tied in the final minutes, Ramla produced a decisive scoring sequence and protected the lead at the line.
• Final defensive stand: Venezia’s last attempt to equalize was contested, sealing Ramla’s road win.

Tactical story

Ramla’s backcourt controlled the pace for long stretches, using ball screens and dribble penetration to force Venezia into rotation decisions. When Venezia collapsed toward the paint, Ramla found enough perimeter answers to keep the offense moving. The visitors also did a better job of drawing fouls in the fourth quarter, turning late possessions into points at the stripe.

Venezia’s strength came inside, where its post players created second-chance opportunities and scored through contact. However, the home side struggled to string together stops during key moments. Ramla’s switching defense disrupted Venezia’s rhythm and forced several contested shots in the final period.

Standout performers

Ramla’s guards were central to the win, managing the clock and making crucial decisions under pressure. The team’s frontcourt also contributed important rebounds and defensive stops. For Venezia, the interior presence and scoring effort kept the team in the game, while the perimeter players created several open looks that unfortunately did not fall consistently.

The game’s defining performances were less about individual scoring totals and more about poise. Ramla’s ability to stay calm after Venezia’s comeback was the difference, while Venezia will look back at a few empty possessions in the final three minutes as the costliest moments of the night.

What the result means

In the EuroCup Women standings, Ramla’s road victory carries extra value. Winning away from home against a strong opponent can shape group momentum and provide confidence for the rest of the campaign. Ramla now has a result to build on as it prepares for the next round of fixtures.

For Venezia, the loss is a narrow one but still a missed opportunity to protect home court. The team showed enough fight to compete deep into the fourth quarter, but it will need more efficient late-game offense and better defensive rebounding in upcoming EuroCup Women games.
