KSSSE AZS-PWSZ Gorzow Women delivered a statement performance in the EuroCup Women, overwhelming Ensino Lugo Women 105-83 in Spain. The Polish side's offensive output was the story of the night, as they became the first team in the round to break the century mark.

Match Overview

Gorzow set the tone from the opening tip, playing at a relentless pace and refusing to let Ensino settle into half-court defense. The visitors attacked the basket early, drew fouls, and knocked down open threes when the Spanish side collapsed into the paint. By the end of the first quarter the tone was set; by halftime the lead was substantial.

Ensino Lugo, to their credit, kept fighting. The hosts found scoring rhythm in the second and third quarters, with their perimeter shooting keeping the crowd engaged. But every time they threatened to close the gap, Gorzow responded with a run of their own.

Key Moments

• First-quarter blitz: Gorzow's fast start put Ensino on the back foot immediately.
• Second-quarter separation: A flurry of three-pointers extended the lead into double digits before halftime.
• Third-quarter answer: Ensino cut the deficit to single figures, only for Gorzow to reply with a decisive 10-0 run.
• Fourth-quarter close-out: The Polish side's bench maintained the intensity and pushed the total past 100 points.

Tactical Story

Gorzow's approach was built on pace and space. They pushed the ball relentlessly after made baskets and misses alike, forcing Ensino into scrambling transitions. Their ball movement in the half court was equally impressive, generating a high volume of open looks from behind the arc and inside the paint.

Defensively, the visitors accepted that Ensino would score — the Spanish side's shooting was too good to shut down entirely — but they focused on winning the rebounding battle and forcing turnovers. That trade-off worked perfectly: Gorzow won the possession count decisively and converted the extra opportunities into points.

Standout Performers

Gorzow's offensive balance was remarkable, with multiple players reaching double figures and the bench contributing significantly. Their primary playmakers dictated tempo throughout, while the interior players controlled the glass. For Ensino Lugo, the scoring effort was commendable — 83 points would win most nights — but the defensive end of the floor let them down.

Season Impact

Crossing 100 points on the road sends a message to the rest of the EuroCup Women field. Gorzow now sit in a strong position in their group, with an impressive points differential to their name.

Ensino Lugo will need to address their transition defense and rebounding before the next round. Their offense is clearly capable of competing at this level; tightening the defensive structure could transform them into genuine contenders.
