Fenerbahce Women delivered a powerful road performance in EuroLeague Women, defeating Valencia Women 88-69 on October 15, 2026. The Turkish powerhouse controlled the game from the opening quarter, used superior size and depth to dominate the paint, and never allowed Valencia to mount a serious second-half comeback.

Final score: Valencia Women 69, Fenerbahce Women 88.

Match Overview

Fenerbahce came into the game with high expectations and played like a title contender. The visitors won the first quarter 24-18, extended the lead to 46-33 by halftime, and kept Valencia at arm’s length the rest of the way. The 19-point margin reflects Fenerbahce’s control on both ends of the floor.

In the EuroLeague Women standings, this is the kind of result that boosts confidence and point differential. Valencia Women, playing at home, will need to regroup quickly because the competition rewards consistency across the group phase.

How Fenerbahce Took Control

The first half belonged almost entirely to Fenerbahce. They moved the ball efficiently, attacked the offensive glass, and forced Valencia into difficult contested shots. A 22-15 second quarter turned a six-point lead into a 13-point halftime cushion.

Valencia showed signs of life in the third quarter, scoring 20 points, but Fenerbahce matched them with 21. The final period was more of the same: Fenerbahce added 21 points while holding Valencia to 16, closing out the 88-69 win with composure.

Key Moments

• Opening quarter: Fenerbahce used an 8-2 run to take a 24-18 lead after 10 minutes.
• Second-quarter pullaway: A 10-0 burst pushed the advantage to 40-25 and forced Valencia into a timeout.
• Third-quarter answer: Valencia cut the lead to 12, but Fenerbahce responded with a 7-0 run.
• Fourth-quarter close: The visitors controlled the glass and converted free throws to seal the win.

Tactical Story

Fenerbahce’s defense was the foundation. They switched screens effectively, protected the rim, and forced Valencia into long, contested jump shots. When Valencia tried to attack inside, Fenerbahce’s length altered shots and triggered transition opportunities.

Offensively, Fenerbahce played through their stars but also got meaningful contributions from the bench. Emma Meesseman and Kayla McBride provided steady scoring and veteran decision-making, while the frontcourt controlled the boards. Valencia’s Raquel Carrera and Alina Iagupova had their moments, but the home side could not match Fenerbahce’s depth or physicality for four quarters.

Standout Players and Season Impact

Fenerbahce’s balanced attack made them difficult to guard. They scored from the post, off dribble penetration, and from the perimeter. Defensively, they held Valencia to 69 points, a solid number in EuroLeague Women play.

For Valencia Women, the loss is a reminder of the gap between playoff teams and true title favorites. They will need better starts and more efficient half-court offense in their next EuroLeague Women fixture. Fenerbahce, meanwhile, strengthens its position among the competition’s elite and adds a valuable road win to its resume.
