PAOK B.C. edged KK Bosna ASA BH TELECOM 75-72 in a tense, low-scoring EuroCup Basketball clash on 7 October 2026. In a game where neither side ever fully broke away, the Greek visitors controlled the final possessions with poise and left Sarajevo with a narrow but valuable road win.

Match overview

This was a contest defined by defense, physicality and half-court execution. Both teams struggled for clean looks early, and the scoreline stayed close through every quarter. PAOK's ability to manufacture points late in the shot clock proved the difference, while Bosna's spirited home support kept the hosts within reach until the final buzzer.

• Competition: EuroCup Basketball

• Margin: 3 points

How the game unfolded

The first quarter set the template: tight, scrappy and decided by small details. PAOK nudged ahead 19-18 after ten minutes, getting just enough separation through mid-range shooting and free throws. The second period followed a similar pattern, with the visitors again taking the quarter by a single point to lead 39-37 at halftime.

The third quarter was where PAOK built their most meaningful cushion. A short burst of scoring combined with a stretch of disciplined defense pushed the lead toward double digits briefly, before Bosna answered with a run of their own to make it 57-54 heading into the final period. The fourth quarter was a genuine dogfight: Bosna clawed back to level terms late, but PAOK responded with the game's most composed possessions, converting at the rim and at the line to close it out 75-72.

Key moments

• Mid-third quarter: PAOK's defensive stand and transition scoring opened the biggest lead of the night.
• Late third quarter: Bosna's response cut the deficit to three and reignited the home crowd.
• Final minute: With the game tied, PAOK executed in the half court and made their free throws to seal the win.

Tactical story

PAOK's game plan was built on controlling tempo. They slowed the pace, limited turnovers and forced Bosna into contested jump shots rather than allowing easy penetration. Their switching defense on the perimeter disrupted Bosna's ball movement, and when the hosts did get inside, PAOK's interior help arrived quickly.

Bosna's path back into the game came through offensive rebounding and second-chance points, plus a willingness to attack the rim when the jumpers stopped falling. The problem was consistency: whenever they strung together a run, a turnover or a missed assignment at the other end handed the momentum straight back to PAOK.

Standout performances

PAOK's veteran guards managed the game expertly, dictating tempo and taking responsibility in the closing minutes — exactly the kind of leadership that travels well in European competition. Their forward rotation also contributed key rebounds and hustle plays that do not always show up in the box score. For Bosna, the perimeter scoring and competitive rebounding kept them alive, with the home crowd responding to every momentum swing.

EuroCup outlook

A three-point road win is a strong early statement from PAOK B.C., who will value both the result and the confidence gained from winning a tight game away from home. For KK Bosna ASA BH TELECOM, the defeat is a painful one given how close they came, but the performance suggests they will be competitive in the group phase — particularly if they can cut down on turnovers and improve their late-game execution.

Both teams now turn their attention to the next round of EuroCup fixtures, with the standings already looking tight and point differential likely to matter when the group stage reaches its decisive weeks.
