KK Bosna ASA BH TELECOM gave their home supporters a memorable EuroCup Basketball night, defeating Bahcesehir Koleji 86-77 in a fiercely contested encounter. The Bosnian side combined trademark defensive intensity with timely shot-making, holding off a talented Turkish opponent to secure an important result.

Match overview

The atmosphere in Sarajevo was matched by the competitive intensity on the court, with both teams exchanging blows through a tight opening period. Bahcesehir's size and shooting threatened to pull them clear, but Bosna's response was immediate and physical, using their home advantage to dictate the game's character.

The decisive stretch came in the third quarter, when Bosna's defence forced a series of difficult shots and turnovers, sparking a run that turned a close game into a nine-point lead they protected intelligently in the fourth.

Key moments

• Opening exchanges: Both teams traded early baskets in a cagey start, with Bahcesehir's shooters finding rhythm from range.
• Second quarter: Bosna's interior presence began to dominate the glass, generating second-chance points and free throws.
• Third quarter: The pivotal run — a defensive surge that shifted the momentum firmly toward the hosts.
• Fourth quarter: Bahcesehir pressed to reduce the gap, but Bosna's composure at the line and disciplined half-court execution sealed it.

Tactical story

Bosna's approach was built on physicality. They attacked the paint relentlessly, drawing fouls and forcing Bahcesehir's frontline into difficult decisions. When the visitors collapsed defensively, Bosna's guards punished them with timely perimeter shots.

Defensively, the hosts prioritised disrupting Bahcesehir's pick-and-roll rhythm, switching aggressively and contesting every catch. That pressure produced turnovers and empty possessions at precisely the moments when the Turkish side needed stability. Bosna's rebounding advantage proved the game's quiet but decisive statistical story.

Standout performers

Bosna's leading scorers delivered when it mattered, combining aggressive drives with confident shooting from beyond the arc. Their defensive energy was driven by guards who hounded Bahcesehir's ball handlers for much of the evening. For Bahcesehir, individual performances kept the score close, but the visitors were unable to find a consistent offensive answer during the third-quarter swing.

Season impact

This victory strengthens KK Bosna's standing in the EuroCup Basketball group and underlines the value of their home venue as a fortress in European competition. For Bahcesehir Koleji, it is a frustrating result that highlights the difficulty of winning in Sarajevo — and one that leaves them needing to make up ground in the fixtures ahead.
