Bahcesehir Koleji 84-81 PAOK B.C. — Bahcesehir Koleji held off PAOK B.C. 84-81 in EuroCup Basketball on 28 October 2026, surviving a tense final quarter in Istanbul to claim a valuable home win.

Bahcesehir survive PAOK’s late push

Bahcesehir Koleji built its victory on a strong opening quarter and a composed finish. PAOK B.C. refused to go away, tying the game at halftime and staying within striking distance until the final possession, but Bahcesehir’s execution at the free-throw line and one crucial defensive stop proved decisive.

The result gives Bahcesehir an important boost in the EuroCup Basketball group standings, while PAOK leaves with a narrow road defeat that will sting given how competitive the team remained for 40 minutes.

Match overview and quarter scores

Bahcesehir opened with purpose, moving the ball quickly and finding good looks inside and out. PAOK adjusted in the second quarter, using its perimeter shooting to erase the early deficit and send the teams into halftime level at 42-42. The third quarter was where Bahcesehir regained control, edging ahead 63-60 behind better rebounding and a series of aggressive drives.

The final period was a grind. PAOK hit big shots to stay close, but Bahcesehir answered nearly every run with a bucket of its own. The hosts led by three in the closing seconds and forced a difficult PAOK attempt on the final possession, sealing the win.

Key moments

The game’s turning point came midway through the third quarter, when Bahcesehir put together a short run built on offensive rebounds and transition points. That burst turned a one-point deficit into a five-point lead and forced PAOK to chase the game. PAOK responded bravely, but the hosts always seemed to have an answer.

In the final minute, Bahcesehir’s guard play stood out. The hosts managed the clock well, drew fouls in the bonus, and converted enough free throws to keep PAOK at arm’s length. PAOK had one last look from beyond the arc, but the contest ended without a clean release.

Tactical story

Bahcesehir’s advantage came on the glass and in the paint. The hosts attacked the offensive boards with numbers, creating extra possessions that proved crucial in a game decided by single digits. PAOK’s three-point shooting kept it in contention, but the visitors struggled to contain Bahcesehir’s dribble penetration when the game tightened.

PAOK’s defensive pressure forced turnovers and generated some easy baskets, especially in the second quarter. However, Bahcesehir’s half-court execution in the fourth quarter was more patient, and the hosts did a better job of protecting the ball when it mattered most.

Standout performers

• Bahcesehir’s lead guard: set the tempo, scored in key moments and controlled the final minute.
• PAOK’s wing scorer: kept the visitors close with timely perimeter shooting.
• Bahcesehir’s frontcourt: delivered important rebounds and second-chance points in the second half.

EuroCup Basketball table and season impact

The win strengthens Bahcesehir’s position in the EuroCup Basketball standings and gives the club momentum ahead of its next group fixture. For PAOK, the loss is a narrow one, but in a competitive group every road defeat can affect the final table. The Greek side will take encouragement from its fight but will need sharper late-game execution in similar situations.

Bahcesehir’s ability to win a close game after surrendering a halftime lead is a positive sign. The club’s home form will be central to its knockout-stage ambitions, and this result is exactly the kind of hard-earned victory that can matter when the standings are settled.
