The win is a significant one for Fyllingen in ENBL group play, while HKK Mostar leave with a narrow road defeat but plenty of positives.

The game was a back-and-forth affair for much of the night, with neither team able to build a double-digit lead until late in the third period. Fyllingen's home crowd provided energy, and their balanced scoring attack proved just enough to edge a Mostar side that fought until the final possession.

Tactical Story

Fyllingen's victory was built on defensive adjustments at halftime. They switched to a more aggressive help-and-recover scheme, forcing Mostar into contested jump shots and reducing their paint touches. On offense, Fyllingen attacked the rim with purpose, drawing fouls and getting to the free-throw line in crucial moments. Their ball movement in the third quarter created open looks that had been missing in the first half.

HKK Mostar will be frustrated by their fourth-quarter execution. They had chances to take the lead late but missed several open looks and turned the ball over in key possessions. Their rebounding effort was strong, but Fyllingen's ability to score in the clutch proved decisive.

Standout Players

Fyllingen were led by guard Marius Andersen, who scored 21 points and dished out 5 assists. Andersen was particularly effective in the third quarter, hitting two three-pointers that sparked the decisive run. Forward Erik Solheim added 16 points and 10 rebounds, anchoring the interior on both ends.

For HKK Mostar, Josip Marić had an excellent all-around game with 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. Guard Ivan Perić chipped in 14 points, but Mostar's supporting cast struggled to find consistent offense in the second half. Marić's performance kept Mostar within striking distance until the final minute.

Season Impact

The win boosts Fyllingen's position in the European North Basketball League standings and gives them momentum heading into their next group-stage fixture. For HKK Mostar, the loss is a tough one to swallow, but their competitive performance on the road suggests they will be a factor in the group. The two teams could meet again later in the competition, and if they do, Mostar will be eager to avenge this narrow defeat.
