KSSSE AZS-PWSZ Gorzów Women delivered a statement road performance in the Basket Liga Kobiet on October 8, 2026, defeating Wisła Can-Pack Women 75-57. The visitors controlled the game after an even opening period, using disciplined half-court defense and balanced scoring to pull away for an 18-point win.

The final score reflected Gorzów’s ability to win both the turnover battle and the rebounding battle, while Wisła Can-Pack never found a consistent offensive rhythm. It was a result that could carry real significance in the early Basket Liga Kobiet standings.

Match overview

Wisła Can-Pack started with energy in front of their home crowd and kept the first quarter competitive. Gorzów led 21-16 after ten minutes, but the game was still within reach. The decisive stretch came in the second quarter, when Gorzów tightened its defense, pushed the pace in transition, and held Wisła to just 12 points. By halftime, the visitors had built a 40-28 advantage.

After the break, Gorzów refused to let the lead shrink. Wisła managed 15 points in the third quarter and 14 in the fourth, but Gorzów answered with 17 and 18 points respectively to close out the 75-57 victory. The margin stayed in double digits for the entire second half.

Quarter-by-quarter

• First quarter: Wisła Can-Pack 16, Gorzów 21
• Second quarter: Wisła Can-Pack 12, Gorzów 19
• Third quarter: Wisła Can-Pack 15, Gorzów 17
• Fourth quarter: Wisła Can-Pack 14, Gorzów 18
• Final: Wisła Can-Pack 57, Gorzów 75

Turning point

The second quarter was the difference. Gorzów forced Wisła into contested jump shots and several live-ball turnovers, then converted those mistakes into easy baskets. A 10-2 run midway through the period turned a close game into a comfortable cushion. Wisła called timeout, but Gorzów’s defensive intensity did not drop.

Gorzów’s ability to score in transition was especially important. When Wisła missed, Gorzów’s guards pushed the ball immediately, preventing the home defense from getting set. That approach helped the visitors shoot a solid percentage from the field and get to the free-throw line at key moments.

Standout areas

Gorzów’s balanced attack was the story of the night. The visitors had multiple players in double figures, with their perimeter players creating shots for themselves and others. Their center controlled the paint, finishing around the rim and protecting the defensive glass. As a team, Gorzów forced 17 turnovers and turned them into 20 points.

Wisła Can-Pack had bright moments, particularly in the first quarter, but the home side struggled from beyond the arc. Cold three-point shooting made it difficult to erase the halftime deficit. Wisła’s leading scorer reached double figures, and the frontcourt worked hard on the boards, but the offense lacked the spacing needed to challenge Gorzów’s packed-in defense.

What it means

The win gives KSSSE AZS-PWSZ Gorzów Women valuable momentum in the Basket Liga Kobiet and reinforces their reputation as a team capable of winning on the road against quality opposition. For Wisła Can-Pack Women, the loss is an early-season lesson: the team must find more consistent half-court scoring and reduce turnovers against aggressive defenses.

Both sides will now turn their attention to the next round of fixtures, but the head-to-head result will be remembered as a clear road statement from Gorzów. In a league where every possession matters, a 75-57 win away from home is exactly the kind of performance that builds confidence for the months ahead.
